If you want an all natural tooth paste. Tom's of Maine makes natural toothpaste, in lots of flavors. Tom's is available is most all natural foods stores, and in some chain stores (Lowes Foods). Cinnamon is the best flavor.

A far more effective dentrifice than commercial toothpaste can be made out of three ingredients. Baking Soda, Salt and Hydrogen Peroxide. Mix 1 teaspoon of each just before you use it (it's ok to leave the baking soda and salt premixed but not the peroxide) and then scrub this into your gumline and brush with it like you would toothpaste.

Tooth decay and other preventable dental problems are about micro-organisms infecting your teeth. This dentrifice kills them and stops what they are doing. It's called the Keyes Method and was developed for use in third world countries where there are no dentists or toothpaste for that matter. It works very well (as shown under electron microscope) and does, in fact, prevent tooth decay. If you ever wondered why baking soda and peroxide have been showing up in commercial toothpaste, this is why.

Sure, combine baking soda and peroxide into a paste... put some on your toothbrush and brush away. I think it even works better than toothpaste because the baking soda is a bit gritty and the peroxide "bleaches" your teeth. Best wishes

There is an alternative for floride toothpaste. As you may know, floride in toothpaste and water have been linked to causing cancer.

If you go to health food store, you will find toothpastes that are floride-free. I use them myself, and they are excellent. No need to worry that you might swallow them!

Baking soda or grounded charcoal. But these two are without flouride so they only help to clean the teeth but not preventing decay.
