I need braces really bad due to TMJ and an over bite but cannot find a insurance company who will help me due to beeing 27 year old. I cannot afford to pay the whols amount and need help very bad. My mouth gets stuck open and I have sever pain. I take at least a bottle of IB profin every 2 weeks. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Here are a couple ideas. First, most orthodontists have very reasonable payment plans where you can stretch the payments out over a couple years. But if that still doesn't work for you, see if there are any dental schools within driving distance of where you live. Usually dental schools charge much less than a regular dentist and you still get great treatment, because the students work on you with a professor watching over. (Plus, orthodontist students already have a dental degree, so they're already experienced.)

p.s. To the nice person who made the remark about getting a job -- most dental insurance programs do not cover adult orthodontics. She probably does have a job, just not adult ortho insurance. Sheesh.

My sis got braces in her twenties and the orthodontist agreed to let her make payments. She paid them off over a two year period. I bet you can find one that might do this. Good luck!
