almost everything is healthy in moderation so, as long as you dont chew more than 3 pieces a day, your fine! Also you might want to try sugar free gum!

Bubble gum can be healthy. The key word is xylitol, a substance that is strongly recommended by dentists in (at least) Scandinavian countries. Xylitol bubble gum protects your teeth against acid attacks (visit www.xylitol.org for more information) and also tastes good. If you chew bubble gum with xylitol, you are less likely to get cavities or caries. Also, there was one research on bubble gum I heard that chewing helps students to concentrate better since movements in jaw muscles increase blood circulation to brain.

Bubble gum can be as unhealthy as candies if there is added sugar in it. Make sure you choose bubble gum with no added sugar.

-hope this helps...

Gums with sugar can cause tooth decay when bacteria in the mouth produce acids to erode enamel on the teeth. Even food will do the same as it gets stuck in the nooks and crannies of the teeth...thus the need to BRUSH AFTER MEALS? We always hear that and it isn't always possible...some say chew gum to remove debris when brushing isn't possible.....Really...this is a "damned if you do and danmmed if you don't" situation!!!

I H A T E gum!

I think it wastes time.
And what's the purpose of chewing gum anyway??? You get nothing out of it besides artificial sweetners, colours and flavour!
These are all very bad for your health.

The best kind of gum is sugarfree. No sugar to rot your teeth, and unless you have braces or dental bridge or dentures, it won't hurt your teeth at all

It is if you chew it on a empty stomach as it tricks your body into thinking food is coming and so it produces stomach acid which can eat away at your stomach if there is too much of it. It is also indigestible so don't swallow it.
