I have had panic attacks and GAD for the last two years and have recently noticed that if I have some cocktails in the evening the next day is like a rollercoaster of panic attacks. Feeling like my throat is closing and I am losing control of my body. Is there a direct link between alcohol consumption and panic and anxiety disorders? I should mention that on days I do not consume alcohol I am 80-90% okay. Has anyone out there found this to be the case?

Every evening, from Sunday to Friday, I do the abs section of the Jordan Workout DVD (lasts for 10 mins), the Last minute Abs, Hip Hop Abs by Shaun T (which lasts for 5 mins) and 100 sit-ups and 40 of those things where you lie flat on your back, and then slowly lift your knees and upper body, keeping your feet flat.
Instead of doing those, how many sit-ups should I do?
Also, every Saturday I do the full Jordan Workout. Is that better than swimming?
How long would I need to swim for to make up for it?
General tips on loosing stomach flab would be good.

Male.
5'6''
130 pounds (give or take)

I have been working out consistently since July 1st. My arms and chest have improved, though I have an issue with toning and extra jelly in my arms and legs. I do cardio and know that well-balanced diet can take care of that jelly.
I know that the key to getting abs to show is getting rid of abdominal fat and even if I had a 6-pack they won't show until the fat on top of it (don't worry I am aware of the spot-reduction myth).
However, I have noticed that the two top abs of "pack" (right below my chest) have developed and are noticeable especially when flexing. They're not huge or particularly defined, but they are obviously there. So are abs all or nothing? Does that mean that I can expect to see some definition of the rest of the "pack" if I lost the the fat covering it?
This is just out of curiosity, I won't be changing my workout plan whether the answer is "yes" or "no", but feel free to give me any information, suggestions and advice.
Thanks!

My right ear lobe is a little swollen this morning. I got my ears pierced 3 days ago and I really don't want them to get infected. It's not red that I can see, and its just a tad sore but nothing major. Its just a small amount of swelling. Is this a sign that I am getting an infection?

My doc has advised me to take an iron supplement of 18mg. I could only find 27mg at the pharmacy. Is it ok to take the iron with my 5mg Glipizde 30-40 mins. prior to my lunch? Or, should I wait to take it right before eating lunch? Also, I understand that there could be intestinal side affects. What would help with this? Thanks

My 12 yr old sister has papillary carcinoma (thyroid cancer), she had a complete thyroidectomy followed by radioactive Iodine 131 treatment. Then she had a PET scan which showed 3 metastases (spots) in her lungs where the cancer has spread. This is supposed to be considered the most curable cancer.....but is it still curable at this point? the spots measure less than 0.5cm...if this helps.....please anything you can tell me would be helpful....

Has anyone had this procedure performed on them?

Are there other, more natural, options that can obtain the same effect?

<<< ignore the grammer errors as I am a hypothyroid male>>>

Hi I have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism about a year ago and all I do is take syntheroid medications (Hormonal)..
(I am a 22 years old male by the way)

I use to be a very active smart atheletic young guy, but since about three-four years ago things have taken a bad turn. Hypothyroidism has put a U-turn in my life, I am no longer smart but am dum compared to the average people around me, my memory (wait i have no more memory, lol)has decreased significantly and I am sluggish in speech , and life is getting worse it seems as depression seems to be setting in from timt to time.

I wanted to know if there was something else that I could do
Like eat some certain foods that are good for the thyroid gland
or exercise the thyroid through yoga maybe?
Meditate, be one with God,..pray?

MY LEFT EYE TWITCHES AFTER I TAKE THE MEDICATION, IS THAT NORMAL? (4 the whole day)

ANYTHING, any hope?

Hi there. I had constant lightheadedness. I've tried changing position carefully, but its still there when I stand up. I walk, its there, at work, its there. Even sitting here I can feel it a little. I just feel really imbalanced as opposed to like I'm going to faint. I sleep well enough, I eat regularly. Not diabetic, dont think Im anaemic. As for the weight gain, in the past two months I have gained a good 20 pounds. My diet hasnt changed, nor has my exercise- if anything Im doing more exercise. Also I'm constantly tired, even though Im getting 10 hours sleep a night. Im not pregnant. My cycle is usually bang on, but its been a bit strange the past few months- coming early, spotting inbetween. Any suggestions?

Okay, I know I'm probably going to get a lot of ... not so nice answers to this one. Please try to keep it at a minimum, I just want straight information.

I am a little overweight, and have recently been trying to eat better and exercise to lose weight and get in better shape. However, I have those times where I start eating something really bad for me and just can't stop. I usually feel terrible after this, both physically (nauseous) and mentally. So I throw up so that a minimal amount of sugar and fat will be absorbed into my system.

I do NOT do this every time I eat, it is a very rare occurrence (in the past 5 months I've maybe done it 3 times?) I want to know if this can be classified as bulimia and if I should be getting help for it. I'm 18 and I know the dangers of bulimia and other eating disorders. I don't want to end up in the hospital or worse, but I also don't know if, because I'm doing it so irregularly, it really is a health risk.

At the end of the day, you're the only one that puts the food into your mouth. Mc Donalds, Pizza Hut etc.. doesn't. The fridge doesn't open by itself?

So why not educate and blame the fatties?
