Whenever I get a blood test nurses either take forever to find a vein or take multiple stabs and my arm.

I had to get a blood test today and the nurse took at least 5 minutes to find a vein. She then stuck in the needle in and said she kept losing it and was jiggling the needle around in my arm, which really hurt.

When I got my appendix removed, it took the nurse 8 times to find a vein.

It's quite annoying because I get sick quite often so I have to have blood tests quite regularly. Is there anything I can do to make my veins bigger and easier to find?

every time i have it tested though i always get really nervous just before they put the cuff on my arm and my heart reate goes up because i can nearlly feel my heart beating out of my chest. would this raise the pressure

i`ve been having my periods for three years now, i`m 18...
obviously in the beginning they weren`t regular... after a year it missed for a whole 3 months, then became regular once again, then last novemeber it also missed up till january. the first 5 months of 2007 were regular, then in may it again skipped once again. from may up till now it hasn`t been regular... sometimes 28 days, sometime one month and a half, sometimes 25 days... this month i should have had my period by the 5th... but still no period. do you think its normal, since it does it often.. or should i go to a GP?

ok on wednesday i started my period that was 14 days late and i dont know why. usually i am light on my first day..but for some reason i was heavier than normal...then yesterday i was in soo much agony with it i cried for about an hour and a half. i'll usually slow down on the 3-4th day, but im on my 3rd day and there is no sign of bleeding slowing down. i have a doctors appointment next friday, and iam only 16, i get dizzy and go pale because of how much blood i lose and i had anemia anyway so this doesnt help. i normally last 6-7 days so i still have another 3-4 days left. any suggestions on how to help my period slow down? thanks everyone xx

Whenever i am laying down or sitting down for too long my hips and legs start hurting terribly. It radiates down to my knees sometimes, and it seems like if i'm laying on my side, the hip that is up hurts, but not the other one. They pain goes away if i get up and walk around for a while. Anyone got any advice?

my sister has 22 years old.she had a little strabism in her left eye form childhood(lazy eye).3 years ago we deside to surgery her eye but unfortunately the doctor no skilled enough for this operation and eye devitation increased and eye,s muscle draged(drawed) more than it should be and diplopia(two vision) appeard.then we decide to second sergury.in this time devitation of eyes almost removed(a bit of this remined yet but eyes seem normally).but she is still suffering from diplopia and we try a variety of prism in offices of different ophthamologists and any of this prisms couldn,t help us.we live in iran.
for god sake please help us.

In the previous month(september),i have taken postinor-2 juz to prevent pregancy after some unprotected sex...my period in october was delay for 2-3days...after using so many ovulation calculator,i was convince tht my fertility days are 28 october to 3 november and my ovulation day is 31 to 3 of november...i hv unprotected sex again wif my bf in 3 november but he successfully pull out b4 it ejaculate...and now my period is delaying for 2 days...will i be pregnant?--jus to remind..i hv taken postinor-2 1 month ago...will it affect my upcomming period?

sorry to be digusting, but i am due on, on the 21st which is next week, i mormaly get sore breasts and cramping a week before im due on, trouble is i had sex 3 days prior ro ovulation, i did a test yesterday which of course came back "not preg", but now i am getting this thick creamy discharge, is this normal before staring a period or could there be something else wrong ?

how can i get rid of my headache without taking tylenol or any medicine. ive been drinking lots of water and taking cell salts....can i eat something or do anything that will make this go away so i can go to bed?

So, i'm not sure if i have a yeast infection or not... and I dont have time to go see a doctor. I'm leaving to the united states tomorrow morning (I live in Canada). I just finished taking antibiotics and i know that is the number one cause of yeast infections for women. I always thought that the yeast and "white stuff" would come out of your acutal vagina hole and be over the labia, but for me its coming out of my clitorus, or atleast when I see it, its only around my clit. And my clit is very very sore to touch. Its not super itchy like some people say is a sign of a yeast infection, but its KIND of itchy. Does his sound like a yeast infection. Antibiotics, white stuff around clit, sore clit, and a tiny bit itchy. .. Im hoping someone will for sure know so I can buy some monistat or w/e down in the states because I cant see a doctor down there

I also recently got hit in the hard from point blank range when I played soccer this morning. Immediately afterwards, my head started aching and my neck still tingles whenever I turn my neck in slow motion.

I'm 19 and I've been on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo for almost a year now, and I've taken it every day at 8:00am. Now I've been having some symptoms that seem pregnancy-like to me (although I've never been pregnant). My boobies hurt a lot (sometimes they do before my period, but it's 2 weeks early for that) and I'm exhausted all the time. I'm getting at least 12 hours of sleep a night, and it's not enough! What do you guys think? Also, do sore boobies go along with low thyroid (Hashimoto's)? Because I know the exhaustion could suggest that, and both my sisters have it. Thanks for any advice!
