everyone says its lack of calcium, but thats just not true, if he has quite poor circulation and bruises/scars easily then if he was to bang his hands, fingers on anything this causes the little white marks, spesh if he drums his fingers alot etc

Contrary to what people think, white spots under your nails are not due to a calcium deficiency but a zinc deficiency - why not give him a balance multi vitamin daily?

Deficiency of Calcium.Give Calcium Sandox tablets or Dicalciplex syrup in consultation with your doctor.

It could be anything from mineral (ec iron or zinc) deficiencies to fungus infection of the nail bed. It is hard to find out what it is just from the information given, even a doctor need to see it to find out what is the cause.

So i do believe you should see your physician to get more advice

It depends on how old your son is, try some calcium tablets or talk to your doctor. Try to supplement his diet with more food with calcium.

im not 100% sure but i think its to do with banging or hurting fingers. i get them, i dont have a calcium deficiency. you could take him to the doctors and they can tell you exactly what its from, and how to treat it.

Ask your GP. He/She will have a better idea than some spotty 15 year old on here. If I had to guess I would say his diet is short on calcium. You are a mother O.M.G
