i`ve been having my periods for three years now, i`m 18...
obviously in the beginning they weren`t regular... after a year it missed for a whole 3 months, then became regular once again, then last novemeber it also missed up till january. the first 5 months of 2007 were regular, then in may it again skipped once again. from may up till now it hasn`t been regular... sometimes 28 days, sometime one month and a half, sometimes 25 days... this month i should have had my period by the 5th... but still no period. do you think its normal, since it does it often.. or should i go to a GP?

sometimes that happens. that used to happen to me when i was in high school & just out of high school. when i got older & put some weight on (i was very very skinny) i became regular. have you gone to a gyno ever? they will check you out & make sure you are ok & that something else isn't going on.

I would recommend seeing your primary care physician to see what they think could be going on. Irregular periods can be a symptom of a hormone imbalance such as with the thyroid for some women.

you should just go to the doctor....i had a problem with irregular periods...and my doctor doesn't know why they were irregular...but she put me on birth control for a few months and now im fine.
