ok on wednesday i started my period that was 14 days late and i dont know why. usually i am light on my first day..but for some reason i was heavier than normal...then yesterday i was in soo much agony with it i cried for about an hour and a half. i'll usually slow down on the 3-4th day, but im on my 3rd day and there is no sign of bleeding slowing down. i have a doctors appointment next friday, and iam only 16, i get dizzy and go pale because of how much blood i lose and i had anemia anyway so this doesnt help. i normally last 6-7 days so i still have another 3-4 days left. any suggestions on how to help my period slow down? thanks everyone xx

I would recommend calling the office again to see if you can get in sooner than next Friday because of how bad this pain is.

In the mean time try to increase your iron levels by eating things like spinach, raisins, and peanut butter (if not allergic to peanuts of course). This may help ease some of the flow and cramping for you til you get to the doctor.

Periods are different from one month to another .. somtimes they pass as smooth as air and time the pain is a killer .. dont freak out just from one irregular period and dont mess with ur body cuz u seem very normal to me

See ur doctor for extra attention

you poor thing I know excattly what you are feeling, my period pain was that bad that I could not walk would be as white as the bed sheets have vomiting and diearheoa, I went to the doctors and was put on birth control ( no they arn't just for contraception) as they get your periods to become more frequent and cross fingers less lighter! Hope you get in to your GP earlier and in the mean time dose your self up on pain killers, heat packs, and hot showers!!!!!

Youre going to have really irregular periods for some time, because your body is still new to this.
I'm 17 and I got on a birth control cause it was so heavy and I had horrrrible cramps.
They might help you too.
Just talk to your doctor, see what he/she thinks.
