Not likely. Just grab a peice of ice, stick it on there and let the swelling go down. The only reason it's swelling is because it's not used to that metal being in there. If it starts bleeding A LOT, and swelling on both ears, then you might be allergic to the metal in the earring. However, you probably slept on your right side, so your ear is just a little sore. You'll be alright, trust me, I've had my ears pierced twice...it's normal. Just remember to turn the earring around in your ear...you know twist it...or it has to be surgically removed, NOT fun. :)

Lean real close to your monitor and show me your ear..
No, not that ear. Your other right ear.
It does look swollen. And it's a bit green, but that may be my monitor. It's been acting up lately.
I'd clean the pierced area on BOTH ears with alcohol and then use some antibacterial cream. Probably just a simple reaction to the piercing. But if it doesn't clear up in a couple days, you should see your doctor.
Now, please put two dollars into the CD tray of your computer and click on Windows Media Player. I'm only charging for the right ear. The left one is free.

no i dont think so. the swelling might have come from sleeping on it or just from tha fact that its a new piercing but most of the time people get swellings. i did even with my thrid piercing. just make sure ur cleaning it and and not touching it when u dont need to to prevent infection. ull b fine

Follow these steps in order...every day:
1) Clean your ear lobe with DIAL Anti-Bacterial Hand Soap.
2) Wipe your ear lobe with a cotton ball/swab soaked in alcohol.
3) Apply NEOSPORIN to your ear lobe..

Could be a sign. Start putting antibiotic cream on it now and keep it really clean with pereoxide. If it is enfection starting this should stop it before it gets worse.

possibly it might be the start so make sure you use antiseptic cream or TCP lotion and turn your earring round regularly so that it does not stick. If it does not calm down in a few days visit the doctors.
