Mets in the lung is common, as is mets to liver and brain because these are the areas that receive the most blood. Microscopic cancer cells travel through the blood stream and lymphatic system to establish new tumors in distant locations. This is what happened with your sister . . and this is treatable depending on various factors including her general health, age, and response to treatment. Your sister is very young and pediatrics are a bit ahead of genearl adult oncology treatments. She is in good hands.
And, yes . . the cancer is still curable . . at almost any point. Remember that Lance Armstrong the cyclist who won the Tour de France had stage IV cancer with mets to the brain and lung . . and that was over ten years ago.

I recall reading some months back that scientists in Massachussetts had discovered the great benefit of sun on patients with lung cancer, especially right before operating on it. I also have just read days ago that sun is beneficial for women w/ breast cancer.
I've always wondered so much about this disease, and as of late have been doing a bit more reading on it. My very first advice would be to get a second, even a third opinion right away!!!
Second read as much as you can, and keep on asking around for anwers.

The cure rate for this cancer, even when it spreads to the lungs is better than 90%, and the success rate is even higher in children. There's always a chance that the cancer can spread to other places, but at your sister's stage, its very likely that she will win.
This link has lots of technical info, but some of it is easy to understand.

You should really keep in mind that everyone is different and that assesments on how curable a disease is, are based on how the mayority of people reacted. Now, spread to lymph nodes of the neck is present in more than 50% of cases but
distant spread (to lungs or bones) is uncommon. Still you should talk to your sisters doctors they are the ones that can really answer all you questions.

My wife had thyroid cancer and metastasis in her lungs, adrenal gland, and her brain. Plus. she had a mole that was likely cancerous, but not biopsied as she was dying at that point from the brain tumors.
Yes, it is still curable. The metastasis that your describing is not a death sentence, but it is serious. Do not give up hope. E-mail if you would like. Good luck and God bless.

Thyroid disease is one of the most common health problems we face today. From a practical standpoint, there are many ways to approach this issue. Learn here https://tr.im/eWjGE
Hypothyroidism, or underactive thyroid, is a very common problem, and there are many reasons for this, including drinking chlorinated and fluoridated water, and eating brominated flour.
Chlorine, fluoride, and bromine are all in the same family as iodine, and can displace iodine in your thyroid gland.
Secondly, many people simply aren't getting enough iodine in their diet to begin with. The amount you get from iodized salt is just barely enough to prevent you from getting a goiter.

She has a VERY important advantage in that she's still young and strong. The spots (since they caught them so early) should respond well to treatment.
Your family and your sister are in my prayers.
