My husband is a nurse and I relayed your question to him. He said the most obvious reason for sudden drop in blood pressure could be dehydration or fluid loss from the circulatory system.

I hope there is something here that helps you!

Best Wishes!!

In a perfectly healthy person, blood pressure often drops after vigorous exercise due to things like dehydration and pooling of blood in veins of extremities - pooling is a common problem if a person abruptly stops exercising without a cool-down period, and some people experience pooling after exercise even when they gradually taper the activity at the end of a workout. As you age, the veins don't pump blood back to the heart as efficiently as a young person. There are one-way valve throughout the veins which become leaky with aging.

There are also heart problems that could cause this - If there is a heart problem, a drop in the systolic pressure indicates a leaky heart valve or heart damage from a prior heart attack - people can experience mild heart attacks that are undiagnosed.

A treadmill test might be a good idea.

I think if your normal blood pressure is 140/120 the problem starts here. This is not a normail blood pressure, the bottom figure seems too high. I would consult your doctor about this!
