im already about 15 pounds over weight and am starting yaz birth control.... will it make me gain alot of weight? if so how can i stop it?

I am on replacement thyroxine since 2002 and have normal TSH,. T3 and T 4 yet still have some symptoms of hypothyroidism
mainly,
1) Heavy prolonged periods which are sometimes irregular.(late or early)
2) Memory loss
3) Unable to lose weight
4) Tiredness
5) Low iron levels
6) Sore joints
7) Foggy mind
8) Depression

Why is this so?
Ive even had my meds increased(still withiin good rang in blood levels)

i have been on the pill for close to 9 years and still to this day i forget several times a month, i know im doing myself no good and its frustrating on both me and my boyfriend, i have tried alarms ive tried doing it when i wake up but there is always something that makes me forget. What are my alternatives here in england? I have a friend in Oz who has an implant in her arm and another who has an injection, are these as effective and can i get them in england??

ok so i baught a 18 pack of Muscle Milk containers there 22gs of protein each not big not new to this.. but i was wondering since i got alot of thows umm should i drink 1 before and 1 after a workout and then eat a steak like a i usually do but i dont usually take 1 before someone tell me if should before and after or just after

The itching is now less but the redness is still the same. It sometimes feels as though there is something in my eye and sometimes my vision is slightly hazy. Almost like there is excess moisture in my eye. If I blink a couple of times it goes away. I went to the pharmacy today and they reccomended I see someone about it. Anyone know what it could be?

My husband had his gallbladder removed about 4 years ago. He's had recurrent pain similar to a gallbladder attack twice since then. Both times he returned to the surgeon who performed his gallbladder removal and both times the surgeon did a ERCP and increased the size of the Sphincter of Oddi. The last time was about 1 1/2 years ago. Just recently my husband started feeling very fatigued and had intermittant pain similar to the gallbladder attack pain but not as severe. Today after he had something to eat he said that the pain had returned and it was exactly the same as the pain with his gallbladder. He has made an appointment with his family doctor and hopefully tests will show what is going on. I don't want him to go back to the surgeon who did the gallbladder removal, we don't have much faith in him seeing as my husband has had so many difficulties after the surgery. I don't know if this time it is a problem with the Sphincter of Oddi again or possibly gallstones.

Over the past year or so i can feel this sort of.. i dont know dead skin or dirt building up on my nose every day. I shower every morning, change my bedsheets every 2-4 days and wear new clothes every day.

I can sit here now and get my jumper, roll it down the side of my nose and see little bits of skin, my nose is rough and very moist. It only seems to be around my nose area though, no where else! I do have long-ish hair but i wash and condition every morning.

Anyone know what this is?

I am bipolar with borderline personality disorder. I divorced in June, have no job, no money for food and I have no desire to live. The only thing keeping me from cutting my wrists right now are my 2 children that I DON'T have custody over! I cry all the time that I'm not asleep and my family, mom and sister, are clueless. I fight the urge minute by minute to go through with this and I need help! I don't want to call my psychiatrist or therapist because I don't have the money to give them. Does anyone have any suggestions?

What are the stages of grief and mourning? and How Many are there?
I heard on friday that my friend from high school died 3 weeks ago. Friday was 4 days after her funeral. I was invited but i didn't receive the invitation until Friday.
On friday I was pretty much giggling over it like "OMG Suzanne's dead. Suzanne's dead" and "OMG she also got married and has a kid" On saturday and sunday I just couldn't stop crying. I barely got any sleep. I took some sleeping pills to fall asleep. Now I just feel weird. I don't feel like crying yet I don't feel like I'm finished mourning.
I haven't spoken to this friend in 4 years. What other stages are I'm suppose to go through?

I have always have this problem for a while now. See it's like this if I go to bed around 9 or 10 pm. I end up waking up around 1 or 2 in the morning. I don't fall back to sleep unit 4 or 5 am. Then when I wake up around 7am I'm too tired. When I awake after getting up. I'm up all day and fall asleep around 7 or 8 pm.

When I stay up to midnight or 1 am I sleep through the night. I find that unusual I went to the doctor. They tell me to use Benatril that helps you sleep. That that doesn't work what should I do see a sleep theripist?

I'm a single with three kids could it my kids giving me lack of sleep? Or is it just me?

I think mine is fractured, but I am debating whether or not to go to the doc. I've read that there isn't much they can do for it other than tell you to rest and prescribe pain killers. I already have vicoprofen for a back problem.

So, does anyone think it's necessary that I see a doctor?

Hello,

My brother has been ill for the past fews days - started with him vomiting & feeling as if the room were spinning & as if he was going to pass out.

He was admitted to hospital on Sat night, where the doctors kept shining a light into his eyes and asking if there was a history of kidney problems within the family before - which we do not know of!

Anyhows, we next over-heard the doctors talking about 'neurological'. He was admitted on to a ward and today he has had a contrast medium injectioned into him & had a CT scan of his brain. They also put more drops into his eyes & gave him a vision field test (which is didn't do very well both with & without drops). He is also experiening some numbness on the side of one of his thighs.

His blood pressure has stayed between 160 - 190 since Sat night.

I am online checking up about CT scans & why they are needed & trying to find a link between all his symptoms.

Anyone any ideas or know of anyone who has these symptons???

I have recently (over the past 6 months or so) noticed that my scars are becomming more and more painful. I obtained some fairly heavy scarring (throughout various parts of my body) way back in 1991.

Some have started to become "raised up" and are bloody sore to touch. The ones on my feet are especially uncomfortable when they touch the inside of my footwear, and the others are just plain tender, even if touching the bedding.

They do NOT bleed or weep fluid, but are tight and raised.

I haven't been bothered by them for nearly 10 years, so any suggestions as to why now after all this time?

Oh, and there's NO way I'm a goin' back to them thar "witch doctors" - some of those bug gers think they can put scrambled eggs back into the shell.

Standing by for answers.....in 3 - 2 - 1 GO!

my b/f of 10 years started using cocaine about 6-9 months ago and he is increasingly using more and more. i have threatened to call the cops, served him with eviction papers. he won't talk to his family or friends. it's like he's trying to kill himself with drugs. i'm at my wits end.

I've done it the healthy way, drink tons of water (i think I was severly dehydrated before!) and eating right and excercising.... I know that I should have measured myself first but I can never seem to measure 'right' so I just decided to go by the scale (I use the same scale all the time, if that helps.), how I feel and what I see. It sounded like a good idea! But now I can't even tell where the weight is going from! Firstly Why is and this (any probable reasons?). Secondly is there a chart that shows the stages of weight loss? As in where people generally lose weight first to last...you always here people talk about the 'last frontier' in their weight loss...Help 10 points to anyone who can answer both!

have very bad vaginal itching and dryness , it drives me crazy I tried everything to get rid of it like washing my vulva ( iam a virgin ) with saline , using betadine ointment , using vagisil cream , hydrocortisone cream .
But all the above ways give temporary relief , I forgot to mention that I got this bad itching after I started shaving my private area by veet cream and the itching gets worst when the hair starts to grow again
Please help me , this itching turns my life into hell
