First, check your water intake. Chronic constipation can be a result of too little fluid being taken in. Be sure to drink your 8 glasses a day! It really does help.
Next, you might want to talk with a doctor. There ARE medical conditions that can result in chronic constipation that you can take drugs for.
Or, if you don't want to go that far just yet, try one of the new "active" yogurts that supposedly "regulate" you after 2 weeks of eating them.

Increase your fiber intake, increase your water intake increase your activety level and try the new Lax miralax it is the only one I know that works by keeping moisture in your colon rather than just increase peristalsis,(action in the GI, gut system) and does not cause cramps.
If you are a teenager, check with your parents before you take any medication even a OTC laxative. If you are of age, making your own decisions, besure to follow the directions, this med just went OTC and it is splashed all over TV so I am not prescribing anything just saying it is more comfortable than other laxatives......IF these suggestions do not work then it is back to the Doc for YOU

I do not think persistent melancholy has whatever to do with spirituality. I suffered from extreme publish partum melancholy which became 'persistent' and lasted virtually ten years! Depression mediciation helped within the quick time period and speak remedy helped a few too. Then I went to a healthcare professional who did a entire chemical make-up and helped steadiness the matters that had emerge as unbalanced for the duration of my first being pregnant. I think remedy will have to now not be used as a bandaid and God had not anything to do with the health problem or the healing.

Take a shot of olive oil and lemon juice every morning, or use metamucil every morning, but make it extra thick, so it taste like you are eating sand. Both of these do not taste all that great however, they will make you regular. You may even want to get an allergy scratch test, you may be allergic to something that is making you constipated. There is always the colon cleanse, but I can't imagine a tube up your rear to feel to great

MIRALAX
it is a gentle natural laxative you take everyday, used to be by prescription, but now anyone can buy it over the counter. When I worked in the Nursing home, we gave it to all our elderly patients to keep them regular..it works without cramping, wont cause diarrhea, and is safer than those laxative pills that work when you least expect them too..
You mix it with water, applesause, pudding, etc..it has no taste..so you wil not even know you are taking it
