how long does it take for braces to fix a bad overbite and willl it hurt?

1. Yes, It HURTS. You will find that ibuprofen or another painkiller helps. It ususally only hurts when you have them adjusted and for a couple days after.
2. Plan on at least two years of braces for a bad overbite.
3. It's totally worth it.

I had a retainer for about 2 years to correct my overbite. Then braces for over four....good luck it hurts whenever they tighten or adjust them
