Do you think soy is safe? I've read several articles that says it's "unclear," whether or not it increases the risk of breast cancer. Most websites say that it might be safe for premenopausal women, but not postmenopausal women.

I have a 3 year old cat who is not that friendly to other people. She is very sweet to my husband and I but whenver we have visitors, I always warned them to not touch my cat because she might scratch them - just a precaution.

My brother brought an obnoxious guest the other day, I warned him and all that about my cat and he still was very disrespectful despite of what I said...He bothered my "sleeping" cat of course, as reflex, my cat doesn't know him at all she scratched him and made this scary meow noise (that I never heard her meow like tha before!)

make the long story short, a week after this idiot got scratched..he called and asking about my cat's vaccine records - he was saying that his hands is swollen due to the scratch. My problem is, my cat is behind 2 years of vaccine.

I don't want anything bad to happened...BUT IT WAS HIS FAULT! have he not bothered my cat he wouldn't get scratched. I am very upset. Could he get a rabies virus?am I in trouble?

Obesity is a killer, causing folks to have diabetes, strokes and heart attacks. Cigarettes also kill, thus we have taxed them to very high prices, thus discouraging folks from smoking. Should we start by having Fat Sections in Restaurants, or perhaps insisting that Fatties gobble their calorie-high foods outside on the curb, 100 feet from the doorway, thus taking them from the sight of slimmer, healthier folks? Should we give obese people the same treatment we have given cigarette smokers, with similar laws for eating fatty foods? Would this cut down on obesity? Would it save lives? Would it relieve the high cost of treating these people for strokes, heart attacks, diabetes and other diseases ? Or is it any of our business what anyone does with his or her life?

What I really wanted to know:
Do you feel that being online has made it easier to be open and honest?
If so, do you feel you could talk this openly with family, friends or your partner?

I ate tops' recalled burgers(recalled for ecoli) had bad stomach pains for about 10 days. Dr's never figured out exactly what was wrong with me after numerous tests. Severe pain ended a week ago and I feel fairly normal today. Could I still test for ecoli and if I had it a week ago would it show up? If this is what I had I'm looking to make tops pay for medical bills incurred.

okay im 18 and there is this guy that i work with that is disrespectful in my opinion. he asks me really weird personal, sexual questions. I felt violated at first but now im used to him being dumb. (hes 22 by the way) anyway we had some dumb bet on another person at work, and since he "won" he wants a "prize". Yeah, you know what i mean. only i think hes serious cause its not the first time he has said it. and also another person i work with also thinks hes weird, so i know its not just me. I feel so disrespected, and dont know what to say to him. I mean i know other guys that are not this way, so what is wrong with him?? Funny thing is he is going to school to be a psychologist of all things! He just started working there about a month ago so i dont even know him that well. its just weird. please Help!!!! what if hes a crazy stalker???!!!

Ok, I am 13, and I'm getting braces soon, and I have a few questions.
1) How long does it usually take for them to put the braces on?
2) What are the best foods to eat during the first couple of weeks after being sore?
3) How long does it usually hurt?

OK, so I started seeing this girl. And I really really like her. Like, a lot. I slowly feel myself following in love with her...

But... she has herpes. Said she'd respect any limits I care to place on what we do, etc... She's had it awhile, takes medication for it, always uses protection, hasn't had an outbreak in a very long time, etc... None of her previous partners have caught it (partners she was with for a year or more).

Does anyone have experience being with a partner with herpes (and NOT catching it)? Normally, this would be an instant dealbreaker. But I really adore her. Obviously we could only do "safe" things (ie: no intercourse, mostly just manual)... but I wouldn't want her to feel like I was always keeping her at arms length. In time, that could cause major emotional problems.

Experience? Advice? I like her so much, and don't want to break it off. But if I'm going to break it off, now would be the best time before we get more attached.

Thanks!

Do you think life sucks? I don't know. I am a Muslim but though I don't perform full solat (5 times a day) - it means I am not organizedly religious. I have too many times thought about suicide. I am sure I have many mental problems, that sometimes I thought I am cured, but apparently I wasn't. bipolar disorder, (obsessive compulsive, avoidant and narcissistic) personality disorder. I want to make it short. I have fear, depression and I don't know others. I am not good writing in English. I am really upset. I live in Malaysia. There is no professional psychiatry here. So I really don't know what to do. What should I do? I know suicide is unforgivable, and I am afraid of the torture in grave too. Ok, Ok, I am not good in English. So I hope my writing will relieve me a little. At least before I commit suicide I have opportunity to express myself. I would delete my accaunt for shame. Assalamualaikum.

I ask this question because close relatives of mine noticed that their two year old developed a minor rash on her neck after eating her first peanut butter sandwich. They took her to an allergist who diagnosed her with a peanut allergy which, of course, means that she will be unable to eat so many foods that children routinely enjoy. In thinking about it further, it seems to me that in my generation (I'm 45) people knew one or two kids in an entire school who had peanut allergies, and a small handful who had dairy allergies. These days, with every rash after a meal, alarmed parents take their kids to an allergist, who, as sure as rain, diagnoses some sort of food allergy, that will, of course, require his attention for years. Am I completely off base to think that something other than a true diagnosis is often at work here? (I understand that some kids can actually die from a peanut allergy, but wonder if this, and other allergies, are being widely over-diagnosed).
