OCD=common
Anorexia=you may not be eating because of your depression
Depression=common
ADHD=ADHD and OCD are possibly interconnected
Dyslexia=very common and NOTHING to be upset about

So, everything on your list can possibly be interconnected. What I mean is have you ever heard the phrase: "One thing leads to another"? Most likely your ADHD and Dyslexia led to your OCD. You then possibly became depressed about all three of those things, which led to your not eating or "anorexia". So don't worry.

And many kids become confused upon finding out that they were adopted. It's human nature. And I doubt that you're the only one who has thought about suicide because of it. Remember, thoughts about suicide do not equal wanting to commit suicide. I suggest that you talk to your parents about not telling you when you were younger and more able to adjust to life changes. Regardless, I suggest that you see a therpist (he/she will probably prescribe you some anti-depressants, which work like a charm).

Let's see: My son, 17, has Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD) part of the spectrum of disorders containing autism, he also has severe bipolar, ADD and "coding" problems (he can't copy from the board to paper). I have severe depression (20 years) and an anxiety disorder. His aunt, my sister, has OCD. So the only thing you have that we don't is an eating disorder. Believe me, the suicide is there, too.

I spent 5 days once and then 11 days in a mental facility; my son spent 6 weeks in a children's psychiatric hospital.

The first thing to do is to realize you're not alone. There are lots of us out there.

Have you got a psychiatrist? And a therapist? You need both to combat this mess of chemicals imbalancing in your brain. It will take a lot of work finding the right combinations, but I don't see anything that doctors haven't treated very successfully in the past.

My son, for instance? He's under control with meds. My sister has no trace of OCD. I'm working with the dr. now, but making great strides in balancing my meds.

You're not that bad off, honey. You just need to find the right dr and the right meds, and you'll be able to live a productive life. Just don't kill yourself or anyone else until you give the drs a chance to help you, okay?

Why do you want anyone to answer that? Most people will just put you down which is probably what you want. Don't kill yourself, and i know there is more to that going on to kill yourself over. I was you once, I have OCD too, and i suffer from anorexia, depression, and i cut myself, used to anyway. And i attempted suicide. Its not the answer. Your life is not that screwed up. I have herd much worse than your or my life. Before you do anything stupid you will regret just think you wanna through your life away, wile there are millions of people out there fighting for who have diseases. Besides it wouldn't solve anything trust me i suggest you get some help. I know the first thing your probably gonna say is no i don't want help. If your anything like me you'll put up a fight but its for the best. I know it seems hard right now but its just a bump in the road. Nothing lasts for ever even this feeling. I will go away only if you let it though. I wish for the best.

You should seek counseling. Most likely you can get some medication to help reduce the symptoms of the OCD.

If you are seriously depressed and considering suicide CALL A HOT LINE NOW. Get to someone who can help you right now! You want to help yourself that is why you are posting here. SO call someone who can see you in the next 24 hours.

If you are just a little depressed and not suicidal then you most likely can hold off for a few days to seek help. You can watch funny movies and try and get your mind off it. Find something else to obsess over before you seek a doctors help.

If you are religious read the bible (or like book) and seek spiritual counseling to help in the mean time.

You will be ok. OCD is treatable. As for being adopted -- stop thinking about it until you can find a doctor to help you work through your feelings.

Best of luck to you --- Blessed be.

Hi Sad... please pay attention to what Ninja has posted. You are not any way near as messed up as some others. When I was feeling pretty sad at one point after a bad breakup, I was told by a friend to go volunteer in the burn unit at the hospital. I did exactly that... I came out with the clear idea that I was lucky not to have been in any of those accidents.

Get medical and educational help for your trouble and remember that you are needed in society- don't leave us- help us. You don't even have to leave your computer... Yahoo Answers has lots of hurting people who would more than appreciate a kind word from you.

Well first you need to decide what is important to determine how messed up you are. The President of the USA was drunk driving and the VP shot a friend in the face. Have you done one of those?

Being happy is really what is important and you are struggling to find it like most. Have you been doing that stuff in bathrooms like what a congressman did? See article on site below about you and how wonderful you are, even if you are a little confused right now. It tells how you can feel perfect peace if you want to.

Let me start out by saying this. You are not messed up. You are misunderstood. So many doctors are so quick to label a patient with some diagnose's. Have you gotten 2nd & 3rd opinions? That is really alot to be inflicted with. I have minor depression & ocd, its not out of hand. My depression stems from being physically ill, I have degenerative arthritis in my back, I am only 34, and my doc says that my back & spine xrays looks like a woman in her 60's. I am very healthy, I'm not overweight, no other medical problems. My knee, well I have to have orthoscopic surgery to remove broken peices of bone fragment. So I am in constant pain, and it really makes me depressed. Suicide is NEVER the answer. I lost my father in law to suicide, I found him. It was not pretty. That is so not what you want to do. It is an easy way out, not dealing with your situation, and leaving a bigger situation for your family to deal with. Don't do anything like that. Talk to your family and get the help that you need.
You can email me if you need someone to talk to. I just want you to know this. You are loved by your adoptive mom and dad. They care about you. Don't hurt them like that. They can help.

You are not messed up at all. You should not commit suicide because that is not the answer to any questions. If you are a Chrisitian I would suggest praying to God and asking him to help you. If you are extremely suicidal you need to call 911 so that others can help you. People love you wheter you know it or not. You still have a long great life ahead...just because you have OCD, A, D, ADHD, and D doesnt mean your messed up. the most important thing you can do is become saved if you are already not:
