i have been feeling something in my throat. it was a *cry*, but there was no reason for me to cry and then i started crying. what does this mean? it's very strange. i don't want to cry because it makes my nose red.

I never knew there was a name for my chronic shyness until Thursday this week. I have suffered all of my life (I'm 26) because of this. I have taken Lebowitz test my score was 105 which is severe Social anxiety. I am not able to get a job or go to school. I can't make my daughter's doctors appt., my sisters make most of my important phone calls, I experience the worst anxiety when meeting new people or ordering at restaurants. In high school my gpa suffered because I skipped class or found ways to be absent. My husband is a public speaker and I try to find ways to not attend his events. I hate to answer our phone. He doesn't understand whats wrong with me but he loves me anyway. I NEED help! I know I need to make an appointment with the doctor, but how do I get the nerve? Am I eligible for SSI? My husband is pressuring me to get a job and I cant stomach the thought. I had to quit my last job as the pressure of interacting stressed me out. Depressed:( Please help! I'm at wit's end:(

I'm a healthy 22 female. About 2 years ago it started - every 6 or so months I would get very swollen salivary glands. First time I had to go to the emergency room and got antibiotics for what they said was an infection then it happened 6 months later, worse this time and the same again had antibiotics. Then it happened again so i went straight to my GP & he said I'd have an ultrasound to check for stones - so I waited for ages, had that then i received a letter saying results normal and no stones present. That was a few months ago.

I just want someones advice about this please. If I was honest - my glands can be normal one day then full the next and it looks like ive gained 2 stone then the next day people can honestly make a remark "have u lost weight"?.

I dont know whats wrong - what should i do?

I have Osteoarthritis in my feet. I currently work in a factory and have been there for about a month and a half. I have had arthritis for 4 years now and im struggling at work. I find im leaning my weight onto my heals because my toes hurt so much. Even on weekends when im not at work and walk to the shops or anything i find im in to much pian. Im on Glucosamine and anti-inflamitry tabkets Movalis. I have seen a podiatrist and he wrapped my feet in bandages but its not helping much.
What should i do..?

I am thinking about joining the raf to become a pilot and i will be able to pass all the fittness exams with flying colours. The test that worries me though is the eye examination. I have been wearing glasses for reading for 5 years and i am now 17. Please could anyone tell me if you can be a pilot in the raf or not if you wear reading glasses.

I have been mixing the two now for about a month and i get really wasted which i like due to the fact i have severe depression and I just want to knock my self off for a week or even die. I am seeing people about this problem but its not working. Traditionally sit-ups are done on the floor...obviously. Problem with me is I have problems with my lower back due to a car accident. Trying to do ANY exercises on the floor while laying on my back, even on carpeted surfaces, can be painful for me.

I don't want to further injur myself by doing excercises on an unstable surface such as a bed.

Any info or suggestions on this topic?

I have been drinking about 1/2 to 1 bottle (a fifth) of rum everyday for months now. I am qutting today and the doctor gave me ativan for the withdrawl symptoms but I am still nervous and anxious. How long can I expect the symptoms to last? I have not been vomiting but I am a little shaky and have diarhhea. I had my last drink at 9PM EST last night. I already know about AA and am going to that too, but I just want to know how long I can expect to be physically ill and when I should stop taking the ativan. Thanks.

everyone always says you need your rest, but when you exercise doesnt that get lymph moving through your body or something? and you sweat, which removes impurities from your body, and you get vitamin d if youre in the sun.

i am a 19 year old girl and i think i have a minor alergy to alcohol. for example when i drink beer my whole mouth including my tongue and throat go numb and i feel intoxicated when i havent had that much to drink after only 1 or 2 beer, also the next morning i will have stomache cramps and be constantly in the bathroom but not like a hangover because no headaches or nausea, and not enough alcohol consumed for a hangover. where as i can drink as much vodka as i want without having this effect and it takes me much more alcohol to get drunk.

do you think the numbness and cramps mean a minor allergy to alcohol?

ive been this way for along time, place high expectations on people to help me, give me answers, advice, expect more from them than they can give...like being clingy feeling.

and when theywithdraw or stop, i get annoyed, like im being abandoned by them, rejected.......i think 'is that it'...and i get really annoyed and upset.
this always then repels people and pushes them away from me.
its like i have a deep desire to be wanted, needed, loved unconditionally most times, for them to always be there....but when people dont live up to these expectations...i feel rejected, hurt and upset.
im 30 years old, have lived alone for two years, feel empty and alone....i have no friends, except online ones.....i feel hopeless, directionless.
i have goals i dont no how to reach, of finding work, moving abroad, finding a fiance.
i feel reliant on help & therapy here though..which is going very slow.
its like i want an instant fix,i want someone to just save me, bail me out.
what can i do?

I have a relative who has been hospitalized a dozen times during the past four months. Throwing up bile continuously. Numerous tests. No answers. They have lost 50 pounds and can't eat. The doctors keep wanting to do more tests, but they can't because of the throwing up. They have no gall bladder, stones, cancer, growths, ect... My relative is giving up. Anybody know of anyone who has gone through this?

It's shcool holidays at the mo, and I've decided to try and change my personality and attitude. I'm always so loud and freaky and crazy. It really annoys me because I know that it'll stop me from making more friends and it intimidates and freaks out guys. I want to make myself alot calmer and in control of the words that I speak. I don't want to come across as a mentally unstable girl. Can anyone give me tips on how to train myself to make sure my emotions and excitement don't come out all at once or go into overdrive??
