i am a 19 year old girl and i think i have a minor alergy to alcohol. for example when i drink beer my whole mouth including my tongue and throat go numb and i feel intoxicated when i havent had that much to drink after only 1 or 2 beer, also the next morning i will have stomache cramps and be constantly in the bathroom but not like a hangover because no headaches or nausea, and not enough alcohol consumed for a hangover. where as i can drink as much vodka as i want without having this effect and it takes me much more alcohol to get drunk.
do you think the numbness and cramps mean a minor allergy to alcohol?

Probably not the alcohol itself, but it might be some ingredient in beer, that causes this upset.

No. If it were an allergy to alcohol, you would have the same effect drinking vodka It is more likely an allergy to something else in the beer . That being said, I implore you to reconsider drinking altogether. Nothing good comes from it, It kills brain cells and also greatly reduces inhibitions which could lead you to do things you otherwise would not do. It dulls your senses and can make you vulnerable in situations where you do not want to be. On top of that, depending on which country you live in it may be illegal at your age and could possibly lead to legal troubles including but not limited to loss of driving privileges.

well maybe not to the alcohol itself your allergic to. ive learnt through school to make alcohol you need to furment fruit. are you allergic to fruits, another thing in alcohol is yeast. many people are allergic to that. if your not sure maybe your body can get drunk very easily and being a girl we can absorb alcohol quicker than men. so maybe you should just get checked out. or even better go for low strnghth alcohol.

It's probably the hops & yeast in the beer.Easy solution don't drink beer.

Don't drink alcohol. It has more negative effects than good ones. Listen to your own body. We can't tell want you body is telling you.

You may be allergic to wheat, some beers have wheat in it.
