they all are trying to scare u.The BC have indeed some side effects(hair lose, high appetite for food, some times infertility) but only if you take them for too long and without a break.SO long as a doc advice u what to take and when to stop, they have more benefits than side effects (prevent ovarian cancer or breast cancer, regularity of periods, low mens. flux, avoid ovarian cysts or cure the existent ones). So don't worry and talk to your doc.
good luck!

Good side effects are less days on periods and periods are on time usually for me. I did gain a little weight and a week before my period I noticed I am a little emotional. It depends on the pills you want to take. Some say they help with acne but for me it didn't so don't buy into that hype thinking your face will be flawless either! It depends on your body's chemistry. Go to http://www.birthcontrolbuzz.com/Birth_Control_Pills.aspx and read on the different types of pills and go over it with your parents. I went to the doctor on my own and it was scary! If your parents support you then that's great! You should be grateful because that means that you don't have to worry about them lecturing you as much then! GL honey and remember you can always ask your obgyn any questions...that's what they are there for. If you are shy you will miss out on alot!

Side effects differ with which kind of birth control you are on... a common one is weight gain... the best way to figure out what the side effects are is to go to webmd and type it the actual name of the drug you will be taking and it will give you a complete overview of what to expect...

obesity and sluggishness. mind you, you are interefering with nature. as far as possible avoid pills use natural method . in india we shun pills to cetain extent. during your life time you take so much drugs why pollute your body unncecessarily. you must take pills only rarely. go ahead and enjoy life.
