how can my calf muscle get bigger execpt for running??

Heavy weight on the calf raise. Do like 3 sets of 10-15 slow and controlled reps.

Calf raises in the gym. Toe raises on stairs. You can do these all day long anywhere you find stairs.
Stretch your calf using a wall, anytime you want.

bike riding with your toe only on the peddles. I rode every day as a kid. I have 24.75 inch calfs. I don't lift weights, but my calfs are the envy of even accomplished weight lifters and body builders.

You might not be open to this, but taking a dance class would seriously strengthen your calves.
