I will be a morning/get ready person for someone with cerebral palsy this upcoming fall. I'm a bit nervous, because it's the first job I've had that's so one on one and I don't have any experience with people with CP. I've read up on it, but I'm not sure what to expect.

I know CP comes with varying degrees of challenges, but I'd like to be prepared so that I'm not caught off guard and everything goes smoothly.

Does anyone havae words of advice or can share their experiences?

What is particularly challenging and how do you handle it?

I've had 1 partner for the last 20 years with no signs of HPV. I have been her only partner. She now has HPV and I'm sure I am the carrier (if that's possible). She is under a lot of stress and her immune system is weakened due to the stress levels. Could it just now be showing up after all these years or is it possible I recently contracted it without knowing it. it is categorized as CA1 type but I'm not sure what that is in regard to severity.

I was recently diagnosed with a breast tumor over a week ago and am due for a biopsy in several days. The tumor is about 2 cm; it is not really painless, and it feels round, squishy, and moveable when I touch my breast. Breast cancer (and any other type of cancer) does not run in my family (even though breast cysts are common in it). I am also just turning 22 years old. Has anyone gone through this? Should I worry?

Mature answers preferred. Thanks!

I have what feels like stones. And I get sharp pains in my chest. Its beginning to hurt around my heart. It could have something to do with my diet, but I'v had problems since I was younger. Better safe than sorry.

My partner has a new job working reno at a hospital. He came home today with a cold sore and neither of us has ever had one before. He thinks he caught it there, but how common would this be? How long the the virus lay on inorganic surfaces? Wouldn't it have to be a bit more direct like I have one, I drink a drink, you drink right after me and now you have one? Either way, I know he's not off kissing someone with a blistered lip (or even a non-blistered one for that matter).

I went to my OBGYN a couple of months ago concerned about heavy periods. Since then I have undergone a litany of tests and procedures which have revealed that I have:
1. Many Ovarian Cysts - particularly on my left ovary
2. A rather large Uterine Polyp
3. Irregular cells from my pap smear and HPV

I'm currently scheduled for a colposcopy for the HPV and irregular cells and a Dilation and Cutterage (D&C) for the polyp, and several blood tests to see if I have poly-cystic ovaries (seems pretty obvious). Because of a demanding work schedule I have these procedure scheduled for mid-October, but everyday I'm getting more worried.

I'm not usually one to jump to conclusions or assume the worst case scenario. I also know that each of these things is pretty standard - but the combination of all of these things is concerning me. It's like my entire reproductive system is failing.

Does anyone have any experience with this combination of symptoms? How worried should I be?

Is it lack of exercise more than overeating? I am noticing that more and more younger girls have big bellies. I would bet that overweight females outnumber their male counter parts 2:1 in the US.

Where does cancer come from and where did it originate? How does a doctor detect that a person has cancer? Why is it that if a person has cancer they are often not able to reproduce?

Am I just out of shape or what? I dont do anything just work and go home, and ive gained 15 lbs. Im sick of it so I started working out, and running a lot. But today ive been sick to my stomach and I got real dizzy after running a mile through town. It was kinda cool outside so I dont think it was heat. Is this just a sign of being out of shape? How long will it take for it to quit?

do these sound like symptoms of anxiety...1.constantly thinking/feeling like im going to die, or something bad will happend to myself/family 2.cannot sleep well 3. always tired during the day. 4.moody at times, and then get nervous/anxious over minor things 5.one night i actually thought i was DEAD,or being possessed by the devil or something.. on the outside i seemd fine, but on the inside my mind was freaking out 6. sometimes i get nervous and heart starts racing when speaking to my family/friends. when i do have those feelings like "im dying" or "losing it", my body gets real hot/tingly feeling with racing heartbeat. therefore, i presume this is anxiety. which ive made an appt with a doctor. i havent seen this dr since my insurance changed and switched dr's. my q is, in any of your experience or knowledge... when i do tell him these symptoms, will he give me the meds to benefit myself, even though it will be my 1st visit w/ him. i really would like to try xanax or valium. but

I know its a dumb Q, because its different for everyone, and if you don't scratch it, it will go away quicker with no scar...but geez...I have on my arm what appears to be a mosquito bite. Its been there for about 4 weeks now. All the others I had have disappeared. It itches like crazy, and I have not scratched it, except rubbed it a little with the edge of my finger. Now it has a small blistered looking head on it and it itches even worse. Its driving me nuts! no itch relief stuff works and grrrr...lol. Is there anything else I can do for it, or does it really sound like a mosquito bite? Or should I get it looked at...? Sorry, I guess I'm typing a lot to ignore the itching...

Is it true that it doesn't matter how much fat or sodium you eat in a day and that you'll lose weight just as long as you burn more than you eat?

That is to say, have you felt like you were so different from the world that finding a place in it seems virtually impossible. Especially if the feeling was so strong you've felt a need to live in another land, leave your current career, or simply have experienced extreme difficulty in figuring out what you want to do with your life.

If you can relate to this, or have any advise, PLEASE respond... I have a new friend that seems to feel this way.

I am genuinely worried about her and I think she needs to know she's not alone and maybe could use some fresh perspectives.
