I tend to do a lot of traveling, so it's important for me to keep light snacks on hand that won't spoil, otherwise I will be eating fast food. When you're a personal trainer, fast food is really not an option except for special occasions haha. I find that bringing enough that will cover a lunch and two snacks is sufficient.
Nuts are great because there are loads of protein and good fats in them.
Fruit and vegatables are good options...things like apples, celery, bannanas, oaranges, and carrots...you can also pair these with a healthy dip like light salad dressing or peanut butter.
Sandwiches with whole grain breads topped with tuna salad, chicken salad or the like...good calories and you don't have to worry so much about these types spoiling.
Finally, salads made with baby greens, with plenty of tomatoes, carrots, and other colorful veggies.
Hope that helps:)

I prefer to bring my lunch and I found these great salad makings called Hillshire Farms Salad Express.... for example it has turkey cubes, cheese, cranberries, and raspberry vinegarette dressing and I just add lettuce. They're $2.99, not bad considering it's about $5.00 to eat in the cafeteria and not as healthy. Plus if you add alot of lettuce and your own veggies, it's a great meal.

But if I forget to bring lunch, then I do the cafeteria thing and I usually go for the tuna or other sandwich which we can make ourselves. It's expensive though.

I rarely order out at work. If I did, it would have to be Togos or Subway or Quiznos.

because I work in a store I started off eating fast food because at first bringing my lunch just caused too much trouble. I usually had Chinese food, wendy's or carl's Jr.
now I bring my lunch most of the time. it's usually a sandwich or leftovers.

I bring lunch to work with me and don't eat fast food unless someone orders out and then it would be mexican or oriental and not really fast food. I usually bring a small frozen entree with me or leftovers. I buy a carton of milk from the vending machine and then buy one item for a snack/dessert.

I work at night so I bring my lunch, there are times though, that I may order while at work. If I do order its either chinese, italian, or wings. We don't get a lot of delivery choices at night.

i work at a resturant, so i eat what is there. there is enough variety and its all reletively healthy, so i dont get sick of it. yay! ocasionally though we have days where everyone brings in food to share, or we order a pizza. its funny when our customers see a pizza come through the door.

Take leftovers from lastnights dinner and you have an inexpensive and possibly nutritious lunch. That is what my husband does most of the time.
