I know its a dumb Q, because its different for everyone, and if you don't scratch it, it will go away quicker with no scar...but geez...I have on my arm what appears to be a mosquito bite. Its been there for about 4 weeks now. All the others I had have disappeared. It itches like crazy, and I have not scratched it, except rubbed it a little with the edge of my finger. Now it has a small blistered looking head on it and it itches even worse. Its driving me nuts! no itch relief stuff works and grrrr...lol. Is there anything else I can do for it, or does it really sound like a mosquito bite? Or should I get it looked at...? Sorry, I guess I'm typing a lot to ignore the itching...

If you have had it for 4 weeks it is time to get someone to look at it for you. Sounds to me like something other than an insect bite. You may have a sliver of something in there.

There have been some dumb questions on here, but this isn't one of them. Take care of yourself or you won't be 1HotMama for long.

I would pop it and rub alcohol on it.

bites that swell big ,like me too, are allergic reactions ..some people get little bumps, take vitamin b1 after about 2 weeks they should leave you more alone, I bought special clothes that mosquitoes cant bite through and wrist and ankle repelling bands.
I hate them worst than any insect. I would rather be stung by killer bees or strapped to a fire-ant pile.

Sounds more like a spider bite.
Open it up and put one half soda and one half mud on it. this helps get the poison out.
On a bee sting, do the same thing.
If you eat enough garlic, they won't bother you as much if at all.

It should go away before two days is up if you don't react to them badly and don't itch.
