It can help relieve nausea, and can make foods more palatable, so may be beneficial in trace amounts during chemotherapy.

In large doses can cause hallucination and even death.

Please don't even think about using Laetrile aka B17 - there is actually no such vitamin as B17, it has been invented to add credibility to laetrile, which is the kernels of apricots. There is not one scrap of evidence that apricot kernels have any effect on cancer, and plenty that they have none. They contain cyanide and so are dangerous too:

Please always be wary of anecdotal evidence for miraculous treatments and cures for cancer. You have no way of knowing whether the person claiming to have been cured ever had cancer in the first place. Sadly, wherever there is cancer there is somebody waiting to make a fast buck from desperate and vulnerable people

Sadly, no nutmeg is a drug when taken in high doses as stated by the other user.....however... I've heard impressive things about b17 ( AKA : Laetrile )
