So I'm a new type 2, I've got the food exchange down. But everyone here on answers says to count carbs. I am clueless and need to get to expert level fast. I know some low glycemic foods. So do u carry around 2 books? I 'm not eating the bear claw my son brought me, so I'm on to those carbs. (sugar)

I'm just worried if that's a symptom of something (like alzheimer, dymentia, stress.. etc). Anyway, she is 66 and very healthy and very active. But I just don't understand why she always mumbles and talks to herself whenever no one around. My daughter also noticed this and she was also kinda scared. One time, I surprised her and interrupted her.. then she pretended she was just singing. She's been stressed emotionally , am not sure that's one of the reasons too.

I moved to Chicago recently and was in need of a dentist. I did not know anybody to ask for recommendations, so I searched on the internet and found one who had good reviews. When I went to the office, they kept me waiting for an hour!! I was shocked to know that they were charging $265 for a simple bite adjustment. The receptoinist asked me to pay the bill immediately after the treatment. I advised her to wait till she hears from my insurance.
Later on I got a recommendation from a colleague and found a good dentist, he charged me $48 for the bite adjustment(yes, I needed another one). My insurance has paid the crook $50, out of $265, now he is sending me bills for the remaining $215. What should I do? I do not want my credit history affected by this. But I also dont want to pay such a high price for the substandard treatment.

I've often heard people say that he "can't hit those high notes anymore". Does this mean that a person can't use a high pitched voice when he grows older? If this does happen, at what age does it usually happen?

I have been on Orthotricycline Low (sp?) for almost 2 years. I've been impressed with it's results....until the past few months. For a few months my period would be really late (almost 4 or 5 days late) and my period would be really heavy...almost unbearable. NOW it's a couple weeks early...like almost 2 weeks early...and it'll be really light and then really heavy the last couple days.
My question is, should I be concerned? I mean...I'm not really sure what I need to do. I'm calling my doctor tomorrow to see if I should get off it.

Any thoughts?

Whenever I'm at a place where there is a lot of people, I get social anxiety.

I keep thinking in my head, don't embrass yourself and don't talk to yourself so that people don't think I'm a weirdo. High school kids used to joke about if I was on drugs... which I'm not

I embrass myself so many times that I just don't want it to happen again

Tonight, I was at a friend's wedding. People were telling me how beautiful I looked. But I kept on worrying about how I would act.

How can I overcome social anxiety?

My right eye is corrected to 20/20, but my left is only to 20/30. They checked the prescription on the lenses and they are correct. The doctor said my left eye may need "Stimulation" to improve. He explained that this meant my brain had basically been shutting off the images from my left eye because my right eye was much stronger for so long and with my new glasses, "signals" from both eyes should be sent to the brain and I will be corrected to 20/20 after wearing them for a while. Is this something other new glasses wearers go through?

My prescription in both eyes is not very high I don't think, .75 in my right and 2.00 in the left. (For distance) I also have astigmatism in the left eye. If it makes a difference, I am 22 years old and this is my FIRST pair of glasses ever.

Thanks!

My boyfriend has been helping move furniture around my house with me and my mother the past ferw days cause I'm switching bedrooms with my mom. Well, yesterday, he went to pick up the headboard from my mom's bed and torn his bicep muscle. It hurts him to lift anything with that arm and it's even hurting him to the touch.

Is there anything that he can do? We tried icing it, but it is not helping.

This happened on August 18.
