There is a sound in my ear --not buzzing but kind of like an engine running and it starts and stops and is fairly quiet (but annoying). It started yesterday. What is this?

Due to the added stress in my life, I've decided to go to therapy. It's been years and I'm not sure what I should do to prepare for it, yet alone take from it.

My husband suffers periods of depression, and I wondered if there are any particular foods which you should avoid as they aggravate depression, or any that are good for lifting depression?

i have recently found out that i may be suffering from mild depression. I have almost every symptom. I am not sure how to tell my boyfriend. He is also my best friend but i am afriad of his reaction. He is the kind of guy that is really really smart and knows everything about everything. He will be too stubborn to even consider what i have to say. i also dont want him to think he is the cause. because depression doesnt even have to have a cause. i just dont want him to blame himself and break up with me becuase the second that word (depression) comes out of my mouth he'll think its his fault and there will be no changing his mind.we are already having problems and i know no matter what he'll be here for me but im still not sure. how do i reassure him that it isnt his fault in a smart, convincing manner? He is sooo smart and he can see through everytihng. it can be annoying sometimes. I know he'll ask me ALOT of questions first which i will answer.ADVICE PLEASE!!!!!!!!!! thanks.

I, 61, average male, 190, 6'+, decent health other than taking blood pressure medication, cholesterol breaking meds and little else recently had a colonoscopy. The preparation regimine I was directed to do included no food from 6:00 PM day one, clear liquids all day 2, 2 dukalax tabs at 8:00AM on day two, two more at 4:00PM, beginning at 4:00PM 350mg of Miralax in 4 l of water then NPO until after the procedure. Sounds simple enough but it is so dangerous that I will never do it again. By 9:30 PM day 2 I was so dehydrated that my BP dropped to 50+/30+, I was having extreme leg cramps, and seizures. I fell while trying to force abatement of a leg cramp, had a terrific bump on my head and a separated shoulder. In the ambulance and ER, over I was given 2 l of liquids intravenously. The next morning I went to the procedure (driven by someone else) even though I felt weak. My BP was 62/35 so they gave me 2 more l of liquids and it went up to 90+/60+, about average for me. This is ridiculous

Rob Moore, vice president of Murray Energy Corp., co-owner of the Crandall Canyon Mine. (which recently collapsed, trapping several miners), said on Sunday that oxygen readings and video images taken from the fourth hole had changed his mind about the miners' probable fate.

The article goes on to say:
"Oxygen levels in the hole are just 11 to 12 percent, incompatible with life. Normal oxygen levels are 21 percent."

After some checking, most experts and other internet materials say that air with oxygen below 7 to 8% is too low to sustain human life, but most major cities only have about 11 to 12%!

So what makes the mining company think 12% is too little to survive, when millions of people in New York and L.A. survive on the same amount?

Are they incorrect or am I missing something?

I can't sleep at night because it gets really hot in my room, for whatever ******* reason. I have no idea why. It could be because I live in a ******* attic with my mom and step dad, I don't know. Anyways, I have a ceiling fan, a floor fan, and a shitty old air conditioning unit, all on as high as they'll go, and the window is open. Now why is it so freaking hot in my room till 2-4 in the morning? I have these sleeping pills that I've been taking, because my mom told me she doesn't care that it's too hot in my room and I can't sleep, so I've been taking these pills regularly during Summer, and they make me too tired to care how hot it is, but they also knock me out for 10+ hours, and they're not meant to be used as an every-night sleeping medicine. Anyways, I didn't take any last night because I was supposed to go to Driver's Ed today, but I guess that's out the ******* window now. I seriously wanna bash my head against a wall until I'm too retarded to care about anything.

Even though she has been donig this, she is still very bored because it gets old very quickly. Any fun excercises I can do with an eleven year old that doesn't take very long but burns a lot of calories?

Hi. My husband and I have been ttc# 2 for about 2 months. My periods are very irregular. Anywhere from every 2 months -6 months. I thought I conceived around July 27th, but took a hpt on aug 11th and it was negative. I've been peeing alot, hungry all the time, tired, lower back pain, painful joints, heartburn, and the last couple of days, my boobs get a burning sensation and a few pains here and there. Oh yeah, I look like I'm 5 months pregnant because of weight gain. I know if the pregnancy test was wrong, I wouldn't be having these symptoms this early. Does this sound like diabetes or something else you've heard of. I have a dr's appointment within the next 2 weeks. Anyone experience any of these symptoms, and what was the outcome?
