I've been on and off of it for about 4 years due to chronic back pain.

I have been through physical therapy and am continuing an anti-inflammatory medication.

This was for 2 herniated discs that I had surgery on 2 months ago and now am receiving steroid injections for.

reduce your usage by one tablet every week. This will stop it from being a terrible withdrawal. If you take it slow you have a better chance of being successful.

Here is what I suggest to get you over Any withdrawal symptoms.

To help with the withdrawals take hot bathes with 2c. of dissolved Epsom salts and soak for 30 minutes. The skin is the biggest organ of elimination and this will help pull out the drugs. Use a loofa to clean the pores and this will help pull the drugs out even faster.

I recommend you drink purified water mixed with mineral water 50/50. This will replace the minerals that are exiting your body continuously.

I suggest that adults and children drink 40 ounces of water per 100 pounds of body weight every day and 2c. a day of fresh carrot juice, to flush the medicine out of your liver. Taking 500mg of calcium and magnesium twice a day will help you to relax.

Drink chamomile tea throughout the day and evening to help you stay relaxed.

Use a powdered fiber supplement twice daily to pull the drugs out of your intestines where they store.

Two of the questionnaires in this forum did follow this program to withdraw from drugs and it did help. I've enclosed a link where you can read their response to this program.

See if your insurance will cover any physical therapy. If you can build up the right support muscles it may reduce your pain. Look up Dr. Gott on line- he has a recipe for Certa and grape juice that works well for some people's pain. Also talk to your doctor. There are other meds that are less addictive that may work for you.

try a schedule of tapering off over a 7 day peroid.while doing this, take benadryl as per the directions.benadryl will keep u calm and may help with sleep.if u feel really bad, call your md as 4 years is a long time, and u may be at risk of a seizure during withdrawal. please consider inpatient care too, there is no shame in it.goodluck;)michele

I really dont know how to answer....other then tell you it will be tough but if you stick with it and try to get off pretty soon you will forget about the addiction. I was addicted to pills and when I got off it..well it was great. I hope it works out for you.
