im not pregnant or having sex. i just woke up this morning and my breasts keep getting pain in them, and then it goes away for a bit and then comes back for a bit. i get this like one day every four months or something so i dont want to book an appointment when it could just be a normal pain/ache. any one know anything about what it could be and how i could get rid of it?

sometimes a hot compress... or standing in a hot shower will relax the breast tissue..
or try a cold compress to see if it helps..
midol or a tylenol or a ibuprofin...
if this continues or gets worse, the go to the gyn, and have a breast exam, and a mammogram .. just to be on the safe side..

This can often happen during ovulation. Try to keep track and see if it is happening 2 weeks after you started your period each month, that would be the cause.

Are you on any prescriptions? I took one prescription that caused unbelievable breast pain. It was a muscle relaxant.
