There can be pain when the hymen breaks upon penatration. There can also be some blood.
The hymen is the thin membrane that sometimes covers the opening to the vagina if you're a virgin. I say "sometimes" because, even if you haven't had sex, the hymen can do a bit of a disappearing act due to an overzealous workout at the gym, horseback riding, tampons, and even passionate "heavy petting" with your boyfriend. (It's not an impenetrable barrier, anyway, as it has holes to allow menstrual blood to escape.)
When you're turned on, the uterus and cervix rise, lengthening the vaginal tube. When his penis penetrates, the walls of the vagina stretch to accommodate the difference.
For some, the first few times make you feel sore, as it's been an unused muscle or even hurt, if you aren't properly lubericated, like the guy is in a hurry, doesn't arouse you and your body isn't ready.
Relaxing, foreplay, being fully aroused or better yet, you having an orgasm FIRST or using a lubricant like KY-Jelly or Astro-Glide can help.

I'm not going to tell you not to do it, that is a personal choice... However, if you are worried about carrying on "as normal" to hide it from your parents, I worry for you. One it can be an emotional and even traumatic experience for many. 1st it can be ( not for everyone ) extremely painful ( please use condoms and water based lube like ky jelly ) 2. You can bleed ALOT so bring pads ( not tampons you will already be quite chaffed if not torn don't shove cotton up there after ). 3. You almost certainly will not orgasm or even enjoy it the first time so the least you could have is a full night to otherwise enjoy with your b/f. 3. If you are worried about hiding it, think to yourself, what if something does go wrong? Who will you turn to for emotional/financial/physical support - the very people you are trying to hide it from now? I also suggest you get to a doctor ( planned parenthood, dept of health, whatever ) and get a pelvic exam, ask about b.c. and about the STD's that condoms cannot prevent like HPV and get a shot of Guardisil while you are still a virgin. Also, if you are a teenager, ask yourself if you can live with the gossip...Even when sworn to secrecy kids ( especially your b.f. ) will talk.

Based on the question and the way it is worded you must be very young and are NOT ready.
Be patient wait till you are more mature. As in an adult.
Sex is not a sport it can easily make a baby and unless you are ready to be a Mother or have an abortion or give a baby up for adoption. DO NOT DO IT FOR A FEW MORE YEARS.

If your ready to have sex then go for it. If your having any doubts or concerns please wait untill you can emotionally and physically able to handle the situation. Your first time doesnt last long so... 2 hours are sufficent. Please Please use protection, and plan on getting on birth control and have your partner wear a condom. Good Luck
