My husband suffers periods of depression, and I wondered if there are any particular foods which you should avoid as they aggravate depression, or any that are good for lifting depression?

Firstly my commiserations to you and your husband. Depression is awful to live with.

Given we're all pretty unique in our chemical make-up, it's difficult to prescribe a diet that would suit everyone. There is also more than one type of depression - could be clinical, could be physical.

Could be your husband has allergies, which would affect his sense of well-being. So has he been allergy tested?

Also, I suggest you do some research on the web, this is a good place to start:

General concensus is that our diet can affect our mood (chocolate for ladies being a very well-known one) so I wish you both luck and success in your search.

Yes I know two of them 1) Banana 2) Chocolate. I have read about this in many books. Just try.
Also never get angry towards him and pour all your love towards him. Definitely there will be an improvement.
Twice a week go to park with him and have a romantic time.

All these will definitely make a huge difference-ALL THE BEST
