I'm looking into buying an elliptical machine, and I was wondering what type of elliptical machine you would recommend. If you could tell me the pros and cons of it, or just why you like it that'd be great. Thanks in advance!

Ok, i've been posting alot of this but I haven't gotten an answer to my question.

Ok. My teeth look like this: http://i10.tinypic.com/661lqpk.jpg
that is called a midline shift.
What do you think the orthodontist will say since it's my first time going there. Do you think he'll give me braces? Please answer and I won't keep asking. Thank you!
Best Answer anyone?

I keep getting into fights with my best friend because of my mental illness and have become 100x more emotional in the past six months than I have been in my life. I keep taking it out on him and have delusions like that he is mad at me or that he is ignoring me and when I get mad at him, I know it upsets him because that wasn't the case. It was just me being uptight.

I keep screwing up over something and am having to apologize almost every week. He is so nice that he forgives me, but I know that I am not a very good friend if I keep having to do this. Should I tell him I am mentally ill and if so, how? I want him to know that I am not trying to be mean, just that I have emotional problems and am not good socially. I'm afraid it might hurt our friendship if I tell him though. Like he is hanging out with the "psycho" or "mentally ill" guy. What should I do?

A family member of mine is diabetic. I am not an expert on the type of a diet diabetics should keep to maintain their health, but I do know that sugar and carbs are to be limited. I was wondering, for a type 2 diabetic, how much sugar and carbs is considered "ok" to consume daily without getting complications from doing so? I am concerned about this family member because I often see her chew "sugarless" gum which has sugar additives, and eat things like regular cookies, jam, and add sugar to tea, etc. I'm not sure how much sugar and carbs she should be limiting herself to, but her current diet seems to be way off and I'm worried for her health. When I confronted her about eating the cookies, she told me that she ate a couple and that there can't possibly be a relevant amount of sugar in a few cookies. When it comes to "sugarless" gum, she says that because it says sugarless, then she can eat it - but don't sugar additives also affect diabetes? I would appreciate some advice.

A family member of mine compains about high blood pressure but doesn't seem to understand the correlation between salt intake and an increase in blood pressure. Almost every day she consumes about a teaspoon of salt but doesn't see this as a problem. Isn't a teaspoon of salt enough to increase blood pressure? and for someone like her, who likes salty foods, what is the maximum amount of salt, if any, that can be consumed daily without increasing blood pressure?

my daughter was born with a hypoplastic aortic arch, a coarctation of the aorta and a small hole in her heart....i did not know of her condition until after birth. i had a very normal pregnancy. during ultrasounds i felt like the technician always looked at her heart more than everything else....one time i had to have a repeat ultrasound because they "couldnt get a good look at the heart" ??? doctors have assured me that this was not a problem they could have diagnosed or seen without having a fetal echocardiagram. i never had any special ultrasounds--just the regular one in the drs office. im just wondering if anyone else had this happen? or if there is an ultrasound tech out there that can give me some more info about if i could have known about this before my daughter born. her defects were so bad that when her "PDA" started to close she went into heart failure and shock and she almost didnt make it.

I have had an allergic reaction for nearly 2 months now. I dont go to the allergist for another week, however the reaction is on random places on my face and swells up my eye brows, cheecks, eyes and the bridge of my nose. The reaction comes on one spot and then returns on another. Anyone ever had this happen?? And no it is not acne. Also, when is a good time or bad time, or RIGHT time to take epipen or call doctor?

“Patriotism is proud of a country's virtues and eager to correct its deficiencies; it also acknowledges the legitimate patriotism of other countries, with their own specific virtues. The pride of nationalism, however, trumpets its country's virtues and denies its deficiencies, while it is contemptuous toward the virtues of other countries. It wants to be, and proclaims itself to be, "the greatest," but greatness is not required of a country; only goodness is.” - Sidney J Harris

So which one are you - a nationalist or a patriot?

I got diagnosed for having allergies this year and I am tired of taking medication and even that does not help to a full extent, Feel excessive fatigue all the time.
I am wondering is there is any alternative to taking medicines to treat allergies, Since this is just a overreaction of body...Can a good spiritual exercise such as MediTation, Yoga just to make the body more intune with your sorroundings/Nature help. Also how about taking a retreat to some natural sorroundings and getting us exposed more to the pollens, molds, weeds?
Has anyone tried this path? I would be interested to find out also I am going to explore this path on my own and see if I get any answers.

Is it just an urban myth?
I hear it time and again, mostly from people commenting while I'm filling the needle with insulin for my dog (he's severely diabetic). I always try to get all the bubbles out,
But I can't help but get the sense that the danger is way overstated.
