Has anyone ever had an allergic reaction that does not go away?

I have had an allergic reaction for nearly 2 months now. I dont go to the allergist for another week, however the reaction is on random places on my face and swells up my eye brows, cheecks, eyes and the bridge of my nose. The reaction comes on one spot and then returns on another. Anyone ever had this happen?? And no it is not acne. Also, when is a good time or bad time, or RIGHT time to take epipen or call doctor?

When I was 16 back in 1990 I had a reaction to Penicillin and had hives all summer pretty much.
