It is a myth. All you really do is invite a greater risk of salmonella poisoning, which you would not want to have (look it up at webmd.com if you need to know).
As far as when you eat, your digestion will shut down when you are working out heavily, so no point in taking it before. It would be best to consume protein within 30 minutes of working out so it is available to rebuild muscles when your body needs it.
[edit] If you absolutely feel compelled to eat raw egg, buy pasteurized eggs.

No it's not true. Cooking just breaks down the proteins so it's easier to digest. Eat the whites. The yolk is where the fat and cholesterol are. I eat 6 whites a day. A great omelet so cook 'em with green onions and peppers ok? YUMMM!..no sense in playing Russian roulette with your health. Protein after workouts. Carbs before a workout.

NO, raw egg gives no more protein than cooked. And if you must consume eggs eat, or drink, only the whites, that is where the protein is, the yolk is nothing but fat. Be aware, raw eggs can make you ill, they harbor bacteria like salmonella. You should not exercise for at least two hours after eating, or drinking anything other than water. As long as you are getting some protein in your diet, it really doesn't matter when you take it in.

Yep, actual is. Gross hi?. i've got considered my brother do it, and that i'm valuable one in each of my friends used to do it. I even observed Hulk Hogan (bear in thoughts him??) on a television teach, placed a pair of uncooked ones right into a wellbeing shake and combine it, shells and all!. Yeah, that's meant to be organic protein and so on, without all the different un-healthful stuff to bypass with it. i think of Protein shakes are on the element now the place eating organic uncooked egg is un-mandatory. Plus they style lots better i'm valuable. truthfully might help their muscle tissues yet, as I say, Protein shakes now are in simple terms as sturdy - in all likelihood better - than uncooked eggs.

No, that is not true.
Amino acids are the bases of protein. They are held together by sulfur bonds. It takes a chemical reaction to break those bonds, not heat.
Eat carbs before you work out and protein after.
