It is true that they most likely will never completely fade away, but there are a number of things you can do to lessen their noticeability. First, you should not let your scars be under prolonged sun exposure, because they have a chance of becoming more apparent by darkening due to the difference in texture. Secondly, you should consider using lotions that can fade marks such as Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula. Thirdly, if that doesn't work too well, try ointments specifically designed to fade scars such as Mederma and Neosporin. If that still doesn't do the trick, you may want to try consulting with a dermatologist about performing procedures that can remove the scars. And lastly, of course, you can choose to leave them there and embrace them with time. Scars can tell the stories of one's life.

Are they on your back? My brother had shingles too and they were on his back. Anyways, just rub cocoa butter on them after you get out of the shower. It will fade your scars over time.

not to sound rude but
you have shingle scars
not scares and too treat them
you should use neosporin about two
times a day that should get rid of them
and what ever you do don't itch them
you'll only make it worse...alot worse
=]
good luck

Shingles are actually caused by viral activity that has effects on your skin: I would definitely visit your primary care doctor or a dermatologist right away.

You can try a cream over the counter like mederma. That should fade them especially if they are recent.
If not recent chemical peals work and microderm abrasion. You should see a professional for those last two.
good luck

Scars? Try one of the creams available to fade scars. And always make sure you have sunscreen on them. Scares? Never heard of 'em. Can't help you.

with time they will fade, but a scar is a scar, and they do not go away completely.
