Yesterday my mom showed us a mark on her leg, the red line starts at her upper knee and ends on her upper thigh. and this morning she looked at it and it is all black and blue. and she can't remember bumping into anything.

What could it be?

I'm a 20 yo guy who was born with a heart defect. I've had many surgeries to correct it and am pretty healthy today, but I have been told I'll need more surgery in the future, and obviously noone can tell me the future. I'm worried I'll die earlier than otherwise because of my illness. I feel depressed about having this illness in the first place and my future.

I cant help but wonder why me. What'd I do to deserve being born this way when the majority of people are born perfectly healthy.

I never really realized how strongly I felt about second hand smoke until this morning when I was walking in the pharmacy to pick up my meds for the pneumonia I was just diagnosed with and I had some douche bag blow smoke in my face. How do you feel about second hand smoke? Should public smoking be illegal?

I currently don't need contacts but I want color contacts. I can't go to like "Lenscrafter" or anything because they say you need a presp. but I don't have one, because I don't need contacts. Where would I go to get contacts for myself? (Color ones, liek green or blue or purple or whatever)

Yesterday while running in the woods I rolled my ankle on a root... I landed on the outside of the ankle and it hurt for about a minute and then my coach/camp counselor who was with me told me it was best to keep running in order to keep the blood circulating. After hobbling for a few steps I regained a semi-normal stride and finished the 5 mile run at a fast pace. I iced somewhat and elevated but I had a six hour van ride later that day and mostly my ankle was kept still & not really taken care of. Today I have a day off from running but this morning I woke up with extremely limited range of motion in my ankle... I have to walk with my foot turned outward in order to be able to move at all: it is as if my achilles tendon is also affected even though only the outer ankle is swollen, it is as if my achilles will not bend fully in order to let me walk normally. What the heck is wrong with my ankle and when will it get better? Should I ice it or heat it??

Okay I'm 15, and I've had my period for about 2 years now. Last month I lost my Grandfather which made me really really stressed out. I also started an exercise program, (I used to be a couch potato =[)And last month my period never came. AND I DIDN'T HAVE ANY TYPE OF SEXUAL INTERCOURSE.

Is it normal to miss a period.

*I never had sex.

My mother,who is about 54 years old has terrible back aches,not really BACK aches its mostly around the pelvis area/hips.
Is there any way to cure this?
And her right arm is hurting either.
She cant really put her arm up,so she has a hard time tying her hair,lifting heavy stuffs.
Is massaging her the right thing to do?

My kid was using them to cover a cut and the colour rubs of. I wonder if they use lead paint to colour them? These bandages are made in China? I threw them out as a precaution.
