yes, I have fibromyalgia.
My symptoms are very painful muscles (as if you had a REALLY hard workout the day before.) and fatigue, and irritable bowel syndrome, which commonly goes along with it. This causes painful bloating and constipation or diarrhea when eating foods that are high in fat, or dairy products. Sleep problems are also a symptom. I frequently have insomnia I was told that a person with fibromyalgia doesn't go into the deep re cooperative sleep that others do that helps the body repair itself. I was also told that aerobic exercise helps for the sleep issues.
It is very hard to get diagnosed properly unless you go to a rhumatologist, which is what I finally did. They determine if you have it by asking questions about your symptoms and by pushing on certain "pressure points" on your body, and if you have it, you will have pain in these areas.
I had a hysterectomy, and when I am on replacement hormones it really helps my pain, but then I get complications from the hormones, so I don't take them any more.
massage therapy helps me too.

Muscle aching all over; extreme fatigue. I sometimes have a problem telling which is the fibromyalgia and which is a real illness setting in such as the flu. Many times I'd rather rest than fix something to eat so a good diet is often hard to maintain. Pain makes a good night's sleep almost impossible which just adds to the fatigue. Keeping a positive attitude is very important.

Fibromyalgia Syndrome is a chronic , often disabling condition. It is of unknown cause. Signs are uncontrollable fatigue and widespread pain in the muscles, ligaments(arms and legs) and your tendons.
