I think i've posted this question like 3 times...but its seems to get worse.

I am majorly stressed right now. 2 huge exams...2 papers and a big project all next week.

I've tried everything. Sleeping pills, alcohol...working out before bed.....watching chick flicks. Only think that has worked is alcohol, but i have to get black out drunk....and yeah...thats not a viable option.

I haven't taken sleeping pills in about 2 weeks then popped two and was up for 6 more hours.

Dad prescribed me xanax, but he gave me the lowest strength and i'm a bit worried about taking more than that. (i get addicted to things easily).

By not sleeping...i only plan to get 4 hours a night....and thats what happens. I'll wake up at 9 am from 4 hours of lseep and can probably pull an all nighter the following day. I nomrally can force myself back to bed by 9 am the next day and then i end up sleeping 4 hours only.

Basically for the last two years or so, iv been doing the same routine at school, which my focus slowly yet steadily deteriorated as time went on. Now, I can hardly concentrate, and I seem to be drifting off in more and more of my lessons, therefore i am falling WAY behind in my studies. When I get home i procrastinate and seem contented to play computer games all night. However when i actually get round to it, revision seems to be useless, seeing as this lack of concentration and sluggishness means that information goes in one end and out the other. I have a rather healthy diet and go to the gym twice every week. What I am looking for is any solution that will bring my brain out of this "rut" and keep the activeness happy, so it doesnt remain sluggish and unused, meaning I can concentrate more, focus more, and it all leads to giving myself a higher self esteem to do the best I can in my upcoming exams. i know im self medicating ...that doesn,t make it any easier to quit ..its a 20 year habit ...i did smoke throughout the day at one point now i smoke between 4 -6 joints each night ..i have diffilculty sleeping if dont ... i plan to use the evening for other activities therefrore avoiding temptation ..i know i have two habits to kick pot and nicotine ...i want to break free it determines my life style and i want the rest of my life to be determined by my choices as opposed to an emotional crutch which ive built for myself

Hi there! I don't usually run but have recently decided to try to make an effort for fitness. I walk 40 mins, 5 days a week, but running has never been my thing.

I can do it for only a few minutes, then I suddenly have sharp chest pains like I'm having a heart attack (I assume - I've never had one!) and can't breathe properly. It's not that I get tired out or am unfit, it's like my heart gives up. It takes a few mintues of rest to pass, then for about 30mins after I'm wheezing and have almost a chesty cough.

Has anyone had a problem like this? Should I see a doctor about the chest pains, or should I just keep trying if it's only a fitness issue?

my head hurts my stomach hurts i feel sick i am sick if i eat anything i keep shivering and i cant breathe properly i feel dizzy and like confused i guess and i keep collapsing and passing out and stuff and ive got a high tempriture

Eating about 5 times a day. So (an example):

Breakfast at about 7ish: A bowl of Special K cereal with sliced banana and low fat milk. Served with a slice of brown bread, low fat spread and marmalade.

Snack at about 10.30ish: A bunch of grapes/piece of fruit

Lunch at 12.30ish: Low fat cheddar cheese and salad wrap with cranberry sauce, served with a banana, mango and blackcurrents smoothie.

Snack at 2.30ish: Pack of crisps/Bar of chocolate

Dinner at 6ish: Spaghetti Bolognaise with minced beef, mushrooms and onion.

I don't want to go on a diet as such but make real diet changes in the way I eat so that after I've lost the excess weight I can maintain it. And I can't starve myself, no matter what! If I give up something eg chocolate then when I have a little bit after some time I end up eatin it non-stop so it negates the benefits of not eating it for so long.

Any tips to help me? Any healthy snack food suggestions? Will eating so many times a day really help me?

I know the whole shpeel about You cant spot reduce, eat small meals, 5-6 throughout the day, etc, etc. Well for me, i do all that and even when I was swimming 4-5 hours a day training for the Olympics, I was skinny everywhere but the stomach. I suppose it is partially genetics, but I feel uncomfortable in a bikini and my bf is an ultra-marathon runner with a flat stomach and abs and relative to me it looks bad. Please any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you! :)

I was lieing in bed the other day asleep and I stretched out my leg. All of sudden I woke up with horrific pain in my. It felt like it was tensing up and geting harder and harder. It felt as if someone was squeezing it as hard as possible. My partner held it to try and comfort me and after about 30 secs she said it almost felt like blood was rushing back into it and it started to loosen off. I get a similar feeling in my jaw sometims but no where near the same pain. After it happened i could not walk or put ne weight on my leg until next day and even then it was very sore and still is now on day 2. Does anyone know what this is or if its something i should check out with a docter? I had been to the gym that day as well if it helps and i do go every other day. My legs are ver muscular as well. thankyou in advance

As an eternally broke college student who is constantly finding herself hungry but unwilling to spend money on anything that isn't rent or travel, I have to ask about balanced meals on a budget. I am constantly losing weight and am always physically exhausted because our two meals a day in the dining hall don't provide us with any sort of nutrition at all. I am also mostly vegetarian; I eat fish, but little else. I want to buy some food that is going to provide me with SOME nutritional value, but I really can't spend a lot of money. Any suggestions for good healthy balanced meals on a budget? ((Easy to cook things are an added bonus - I can't cook ANYTHING right... I even mess up cereal on occasion. Not to mention the fact that I am far too lazy to cook, and would rather go hungry than spend any time making food.))
