Have you brought these concerns to your doctor? He or she would know what tests to have performed, as well as be able to exam you for any other causes. But, the typical tests for detecting diabetes are a Glucose Tolerance Test (fasting test, where you drink a sweet liquid and blood is drawn at intervals to see how your body meatbolizes the glucose), a Hemoglobin A1c (blood test, to show your average level of blood glucose over the past three months), and a serum blood glucose test, where they take a small drop of blood and see what the current level of glucose in your blood is. But, definitely go to your doctor if you have any fears or suspicions, as they can not only determine if you have diabetes, but also what form of treatment you should undertake. Hope this helps!
