Badminton, it's one of the best sports to keep your body like an actress.
But if you insist in walking or running, running i'ts the best, because the key to keep your body fit, it's the sweat.
Sweating helps your body secrete all the bad substances that lies inside your body, same goes for the excess of oil.
That means, walking it's good too, but you'll need to walk 10000 steps a day to keep your body healthy. But running 15 to 20 minutes a day, can do the job.
I hope this helps....

Depends.
First, exercise for your health, not weight, please. You are within the correct weight range for your height and age, but there is nothing wrong with wanting to tone up -- just be smart about it. You don't have to be 93 lbs -- in fact, you will be slightly underweight at 93. Which can cause all sorts of health problems. We need some fat, after all. (And this is not RUDE, this is the truth from someone who has been around the block a few more times than you have and has seen the danger of being too fat and of being too skinny!)
Second, running is better because it burns more calories, raises your heart rate more, and builds more endurance -- if you are doing it correctly. Make sure you run heel-toe, and don't over do it. It's a better exercise, but there is more risk of injury, so take it easy and listen to your body. If something starts to hurt, then you need to cut back or take a break.

Running, more calories are burnt when your heart rate is elevated so you'll lose more weight running versus walking/ walking I'd say would be pointless, hit the track 3 to 4 times a week and run about a mile+ and you'll be good ---- Hey you also have factor in that the body fluctuates like +/- 5 lbs daily

running burns more calories and will increase your fitness level a lot faster.
Walking is easier and if you can do it longer than running you may be able to burn just as many calories but in longer amount of time. Walking is easier on the joints and is more enjoyable as you can do it with a friend and chat etc.
My advise, walk until you feel fit enough to walk briskly for 40minutes and then incorporate a little jogging into your walk (say walk for 10 mins to warm up, jog as far as you can and then walk the rest)
If you want to be thinner as well, calorie control is the key...
you can eat anything you like but stick to around 1200 calories a day.
Here is a fantastic website

Good luck :)

i'm going to agree that walking/working are greater advantageous exercising than bicycling on my own. even nevertheless, doing a variety of events is greater advantageous for you than choosing one on my own. anybody needs to contain some crosstraining alongside with bicycling or swimming, and a few potential coaching with the intention to be bodily greater healthful. A healthful nutrition ordinary additionally enables. walking rapidly (speedier than quarter-hour according to mile) is as good as or greater advantageous than working because of the fact it rather is a low impact interest (greater handy on the hip and knee joints) that has lots of cardiovascular income. This remark replaced into extra because of the fact one in each and every of the different solutions reported that walking has no income in any respect. I disagree because of the fact i'm a committed walker... I take part in marathons and a million/2 marathons and have been waiting to maintain a 50 pound weight help by walking (25 or greater miles a week) and a healthful ingesting application. no longer a nutrition ordinary. good success to you!

Both are good but due to your age and your assumed good physical fitness level I would go with running. See if you can get your hands on a heart rate monitor so you can use your target heart rate as a guide to how hard you should be working out.
