I was prescribed Amitriptyline after 8 months of constant stomach pain. I had taken prilosec, nexium, and a pri-pack for the pain. I was diagnosed with H-Pylori, and treated for it. But the pain went away for a short time(about a month) and then came back again, which is why they prescribed it. I guess my question is, is this a common prescription for stomach pain? I am trying to learn more about it but i would like to know if others have had this problem. Also, i heard it was an anti-depressant.. could i become depressed when i dont have to take it anymore? sorry if this is confusing, i am just tyring to learn more, thanks for any help!!!

I know somebody with cancer. Her doctor's have warned her about eating better and quitting smoking. She's suffered from complications that her doctors have attributed to smoking. She is currently undergoing a very painful chemo process. And yet, if you ask her right now, she says she plans on continuing to smoke when she is done.

Why can't people change the things that hurt them the most?

I am not talking about 100 pounds but maybe if they lose 20%, 30% of their wieght. Would you look a little weird like maybe because you skin was stretched and now has room to sage. My friends who lost wieght look wierd. They lost maybe 50 lbs. Do they look wierd because of my perception and because I was used to how they looked before? Is skin sagging that aparrent for those who lose fifty pounds? Will the skin sagging go away?

I have problem staying awake for the first class in the morning, between 8:30AM - 10:00AM. After that, I feel absolutely awake to do anything. I always feel sleepy in the morning before 10:00 AM.

I have a very healthy lifestyle. I workout every weekday for 2 hours, aerobatics and weight; I eat lots of fruit and vegetable and some meat daily. Normally, I go to bed around 11:00 PM and have to wake up around 7:00 AM. That's about 8 hours of sleep everyday, since I'm in my early 20s, that should be enough. Sometimes I try to sleep even earlier yet still feel sleepy in the morning. What exactly is wrong? Or is this normal? My friends told me that I'm the night kind of people who could stay up late at night easily yet just can't wake up early no matter how long I have slept.

Any ideas? I want to wake up early and not feel sleepy yet I don't see anything wrong with my current lifestyle. How could I improve it?

I am 21 years old and have been suffering with chronic migraines since I was 10. What I have noticed in the past 4 years (along with increasing frequency and resistance to medications) my migraines have been causing me to develop memory and speach issues. When I am talking normally often I cannot remember one single word or phrase. For example: Today I woke up with a headache and I asked my roommate to hand me a ________ . . . I couldn't remember the word brush if my life depended on it. This type of memory loss happens extremely frequently to the point where the grades in my college classes are suffering because no matter how or how much I study I will forget nearly all important information. I have also seen myself developing rather dyslexic tendencies in my writing and my speach. These symptoms are ever present but certainly exaccerbated by my migraines (which have been incapasitating). Is this even normal? How can I regain my ability to remember? Please help.

In one sex session (so, one evening) depending on how high the man's sex drive is (in this case, very high), how many times can he climax? Can he do it 4 times? I understand that he has to have breaks in between and arousal has to be different to get him "up" again. But is 4 times possible with a horny guy?

Serious answers only please. Much appreciated.

Recently for the past week, i've been noticing very aggressive headaches before I go to bed. The headaches are then followed be light headed feelings and dizziness. I am not on any medications and cannot figure out why this would be happening. I do not do anything that would lead this on. I do not work hard nor stay up late. My days usually 6-7AM til 11pm-12am They continue to bother me until I fall asleep and can still feel lightheaded come morning but I usually just end up walking it off. I've tried St. Johns Wort (I use that as an alternative instead of antidepressants for about 3 years now) because it helps me sleep but that alone isn't helping my headaches. What could this be? Thanks.

Last week, i was running on hardwood floors with socks. I fell like 5 feet into the air, and my arm flew into the wall. It hurt really badly at the time, then it wasn't as bad afterwards. Since yesterday, the pain came back. Its not broken, i can still move it. When I twist my arm, i have shooting pains up to my palms sometimes. The pain is my elbow down. Above my elbow is fine. I don't know if I tore a ligament, or if it could be tendonitis, as I play the saxophone and piano.

I had sex with a good friend of mine twice, both times I had a lot of vaginal bleeding/broken vaginal tissue because we had really really rough sex. I have sinced stopped because I started worrying about hiv. He is married for 5 years now and I know his wife and son is hiv negative. What are my chances of getting hiv from this guy? I can't get tested until after the window period but I'm really worried right now. Thanks.
