Does anyone know which antidepresant does not cause weight gain, sleepiness and sexual side effects?

I was on Paxil 20 mg for a year, felt better emotionaly - calmer, more patient, but gained 20 pounds, was yawning, if not sleeping most of the time, and was unable to climax, even though had desire. Plain horrible.

I have been on wellbutrin xl for a few years. i have not gained any weight at all. the only side effects that i have is sometimes my hands shake some and i am forgetful.

I took Paxil for about 10 years, I had the inability to ejaculate at first but it became normal again later. I gained weight too, I don't think it made me sleepy, or at least not that much. I hope your doctor can recommend something else.

Most antidepressants tend to promote weight gain, but that's because your appetite increases. You have to control your appetite and exercise; I know it's easier said than done; because I'm living it right now. Try to stick to low calorie snacks like carrot sticks and fruit.

My wife is a Dietitian at a state mental hospital and that's what she says.

I tried paxil but I'm on prozac now. I don't have as big a sex drive as I once did but I am able to climax. I've also lost some weight and I'm fine emotionally. I only take 20mg though because when I went up to 40 I was always tired like you.

I took paxil for 13 years, and recently switched to lexapro, I noticed a huge difference. Im never hungry, better state of mind and not tired all the time. However the first few days I felt like I was high.....;)

I've been told that Wellbutrin does not cause as much weight gain, no sexual side effects and if you're experiences sleepiness after a year, your doc should have lowered your mg's.

I am on Wellbutrin because it was supposed to help with weight loss - nothing so far, but at least I havent gained anymore. Its weird that anti depressant cause symptoms that can make you more depressed.
