I am 21 years old and have been suffering with chronic migraines since I was 10. What I have noticed in the past 4 years (along with increasing frequency and resistance to medications) my migraines have been causing me to develop memory and speach issues. When I am talking normally often I cannot remember one single word or phrase. For example: Today I woke up with a headache and I asked my roommate to hand me a ________ . . . I couldn't remember the word brush if my life depended on it. This type of memory loss happens extremely frequently to the point where the grades in my college classes are suffering because no matter how or how much I study I will forget nearly all important information. I have also seen myself developing rather dyslexic tendencies in my writing and my speach. These symptoms are ever present but certainly exaccerbated by my migraines (which have been incapasitating). Is this even normal? How can I regain my ability to remember? Please help.

I find that when I have a migraine, I cna't remember most of the tim period in whihc it occures, so studying or anyhitng else like that is a waste. It dlears up after, though, and I rfemember things fine once the migraine is gone.
I told my doctor I had CRS disease.

When is the last time that you've seen a doctor in regards to this? You may need test. I have no real knowledge, but watch enough episodes of ER or Grey's Anatomy, and you know its not supposed to be a good thing if you are suffering from memory loss. Please go to a doctor! Don't waste time! I don't mean to worry you, but I would think that you have good cause to be worried. I don't suffer from memory loss due to my migranes. On my bad days, I mostly can't stand up, eat, everything is loud or bright and I feel completely crippled. I honestly think you should see a doctor. ASAP!!!!

I think you need to see a doctor and go for extensive testing since there could be some changes in your brain which are effecting your memory. After the tests, you may be in a better position to decide on further treatment options, whether in main stream medicine or alternative methods.

I wish you speedy recovery.
