Last week, i was running on hardwood floors with socks. I fell like 5 feet into the air, and my arm flew into the wall. It hurt really badly at the time, then it wasn't as bad afterwards. Since yesterday, the pain came back. Its not broken, i can still move it. When I twist my arm, i have shooting pains up to my palms sometimes. The pain is my elbow down. Above my elbow is fine. I don't know if I tore a ligament, or if it could be tendonitis, as I play the saxophone and piano.

I had a similar experience a few months back and wow it took a LONG time to get right. Panned out nothing serious but kept my movements down. I had to completely stop useing my arm for about 3 wks. to get it back right. ( I play the guitar) Good Luck !!!

I had tendonitis a couple years back in my wrist and also had the surgery for it. It was very obvious for me due to the fact that my bone was sticking out. I had also ligament damage in the same wrist prior to them treating my tendonitis. The pain went shooting up my arm and it was dreadful. I wouldn't rule out tendonitis but I would suggest that you tore a ligament or just bruised it. I am not a doctor but I would see an orthopedic if the pain continues. Good Luck.

You could have just deeply bruised the muscle and the swelling causes pain when you use your hands and when the tendons pull and push.
