I used to be a smoker. I quit about a month into my pregnancy, before I even knew I was pregnant, because I had strept throat and it was too painful to smoke. I haven't smoked since. I'm now 17 weeks. I know a lot of women still smoke during pregnancy. I also know all the risks of doing so. Anyway, I was curious as to how risky or bad or harmful it would be to have ONE cigarette at this point. Would one cigarette still increase the possibility of low birth weight and etc etc.....?

Ok 4 years ago before kids I was 128lbs size 3 sometimes 5 depending on the jeans. I am 5'8 and after my 2 kids I was 215 size 13. Since July of last year I am down to 175 size 9 , now I haven't been able to lose anything in months. What kind of workouts can I do at home. I stay at home with my 2 kids and they scream if I put them in the gym daycare and I dont have anyone to watch them. Also I am trying to portion my food , but I am always hungry. So can anyone help me to get motivated and does anyone have any ideas.

I went in for my yearly papsmear.(every women should do) 2 days ago. Today I received a phone call saying that she wants me to go see her agin in 1 month. When i asked the receptionist why, all she said was she has a note saying to come back in 1 month for a blood pressure.If they found something irregular in my papsmear results she should have mentioned it right?and the doctor should call?.can it be just the blood pressure?.any help would be really appreciated.thanks

Myself of a bladder infection. Or at least the part where i have to go to the bathroom every 5 minutes? Does anybody have some tried and true tricks for that? (yes, i am on antibiotics). Its driving me insane, I gave up last night on running in and out of the bathroom and just sat on the toilet for two hours. Help!

My metabolism is super hyper. I am 32 years old 105 lbs and i eat like a horse. my diet includes fresh vegetables, occassional red meat intake moderate excercise (normal everydayactivities). I can't eat protein bars because of severe allergy to peanuts (most contain peanuts) so i get my protein from chicken, etc. I try to eat fairly well rounded meals but in between meals i have to snack, fruits, on and on...

please serious answers, no snide comments. If i get sick even with a cold or the flu i'm done for my weight drops significantly within days. either i need to slow my metabolism down or find a better way of taking in my full caloric needs without eating every waking moment.

I had a root canal done 3 weeks ago and just got my crown last week. I had zero pain during the two weeks after my root canal, but after I got my crown in I've been getting that same throbbing pain that I had after eating sweets before I got my root canal procedure. Is this normal??

I went off the pill about a month ago. I had my period, took four pills, then went off and had a second period. Now, a month later, I got my period a few days late (according to an online thing of when I should of gotten my period) and it was extremely light. I have always had horrible periods, as in heavy. Whether I was on the pill or off (I"ve been on and off before). I can't even wear just a 'super plus'. During this period, I've only been able to use regular tampons twice (it was only heavy enough to use tampons twice) other then that, its been so light I don't even think I could touch tampons. Do you think this is normal? I was thinking of taking a pregnancy test, JUST to be sure, but I wanted to ask on here first... as I have to go on a new medications and the pharmacist was like 'ARE YOU SURE YOUR NOT PREGNANT!?'

He's had it for a couple of weeks now, he's 7wks. And it's just around his moth. Little red bumps, and some of them look white in the middle. It's on his chin above his upper lip, and cheeks next to his mouth. Could it be from breastfeeding and rubbing on my skin with milk irritating it? Some days look better than others....why? Any advice will help. Thanks!!!!!

Ok my period came 3 days ago, it was only a few days late....no biggie but when it came, woahhhh it came with a vegence. I had the worst cramps i have ever had and there was a lot of blood. I had a lot of little black clotts and then last night, I had a clott that wasnt black...It was like a thick piece of flesh. It almost looked like a mini steak....this has never happened before, Im not exagerating it was about a centimeter thick, what is going on and should I be worried?
