I know somebody with cancer. Her doctor's have warned her about eating better and quitting smoking. She's suffered from complications that her doctors have attributed to smoking. She is currently undergoing a very painful chemo process. And yet, if you ask her right now, she says she plans on continuing to smoke when she is done.

Why can't people change the things that hurt them the most?

Human beings, are very strange and very weak regarding things they love to do. That's the way our God create us. I know a man, his doctors asked him to stop smoking, he had heart problems, he told them that he loves smoking, and if quitting will make his life longer by few more years, that he prefer dieing happily, doing whatever he likes, rather than living sadly away from things he likes. Human beings.

most people dont understand the fact that quiting is one of the hardest things to do, you try to quit over and over again, and yet it is unsuccessful. If i were you, i would consult a doctor, and see if there is anything you or a doctor can say to her to make her stop smoking, though the lack of nicotine in her system is making her want to start up so bad, you have to help her.

Sometimes change is hard, most of the time it is difficult, thats what you have to understand.
