I was wondering about extraction complications asides from dry socket?? I had a tooth extracted on Monday. It was somewhat difficult and required multiple shots of numbing medication and the tooth being sawed in half.

Three days later, I still have an egg shaped swollen area on my jawbone. It is "hard" and has been red/warm the past two days. I am going back to the oral surgeon this afternoon... but was hoping for some possibilities before then???

Thanks

Just what exactly is 'cotton fever'? My son said that he shot drugs in his arm and a piece of fiber went into his blood stream.I don't buy that 'cause that would kill you if it hit your heart. So what is it and is it possible to spread it to my son.
I need some help fast. A VERY CONCERNED DAD

I have been taking bupropion SR for quitting smoking for three weeks. two days ago I changed my dosage from 150 to 300mg with my doctor's advice. Last night I experienced pretty bad itching, first in my hands and then all over. I woke up today with milder but present itching. My doctor says I should stay on the drug for another 24-36 hours, but I am afraid that it will get worse. So many people online have reported that it gets worse. Should I drop down to 150, stop altogether or should I follow my doctor's advice and wait and see. Also, is there anything I can take for the itching?

I'm not sure what this would even fall under . But certain things can make me feel like I am losing it. I am deathly afraid of Storms. If someone is hurt instead of helping I run or just make things worse. Once my son was falling from his highchair and instead of grabing him like a normal person I just raised my hands and screamed. Thankfully my sister grabbed him. It is like a constant worry. I jump out of my skin if someone comes up behind me. Or even watching a TV show others can see it and go wow! I am like on the edge of my seat and scream. I am talking the movie "Ice Age the Melt Down". One time there was a storm and my son was across the street my husband had to go get him because I couldn't move from my spot until he was there. And then he and his friends came to finish their game and I was trying to get the table in the hall way. They thought I was nuts. Last night my husband got a nose bleed and he threatened to lock me out of the bathroom because I was freaking out. HELP!

Hello, I noticed a small hole in one of my molars on the way to the dentist about a year ago, I told the dentist about it before I got in the chair. He said "yup, all fine" and the chair went up and I confirmed with him after, and he said that I didn't have any holes! He looked at me as if i was being stupid by questioning his judgement so I went away!

I then went back 6 months later for my checkup and he said that I needed a filling... and it doesn't take a genius to realise which tooth it was that he was talking about! So a few weeks later I had the filling and I looked at it at night and I could see on the top of my tooth that there was still what appears to be a hole.

Is there an acceptable degree of decay that is "OK" and doesn't need filling? Doesn't decay continue to grow unless it is removed regardless of size.. no?

I have a few holes that are literally less than quarter of an inch wide... should these microscopic ones be filled to prevent them getting worse?

I've brushed regularly, used mouthwash and I can't seem to get rid of the taste. I've smoked for years, but the taste just started occuring a few weeks ago. It tastes slighty 'metal-like'.

And it goes that till this age I never had sex. It is not like you think, where I live this has to be practised only after marriage. However I feel that my body is deteriorating, it is not functioning properly; my sight, hearing, bones, lack of concentration and distraction. I feel really not in a good shape and most of all, the premenstrual pains are growing severe, swollen breasts, increase in my distraction, decrease in sight, back pains, if I happen to get a tiny wound on these days, it hurts 10 times more than usual, and those symbtoms many days before the period and can last till its end. And I personally render all this to not having sex... What do you say?

I move my husband all night long trying to get him to stop snoring, he does not stop breathing so I don't think apnea is it. We have tried the strips, don't make a difference. Has anyones husband had their uvula removed, did this work. I am ready to move out of the room. His snoring seems to come through the nose, he had it scoped but it is fine. He is mad that I keep on about it but I am becomig desparate.
