She has had pain in her ankle and feet for over 1 yr - causing he to almost be unable to walk. Which is uncommon with granuloma annulare- any ideas of suggestions
She has already been tested for diabetes- nothing positive

well if she has the one problem, I'd have her checked for others, be noisy, be insistent, children don't have pain for no reason. For instance have they checked her for rheumatoid arthritis?

I may be mistaken but sounds like the condition that causes extreme swelling and sores of the lower leg and feet.
If so, I saw a documentary on the discovery channel and the people would massage that area, sometime long hours of the day, to relieve the pain. It helps to improve circulation of the blood in that area.
