I have been taking bupropion SR for quitting smoking for three weeks. two days ago I changed my dosage from 150 to 300mg with my doctor's advice. Last night I experienced pretty bad itching, first in my hands and then all over. I woke up today with milder but present itching. My doctor says I should stay on the drug for another 24-36 hours, but I am afraid that it will get worse. So many people online have reported that it gets worse. Should I drop down to 150, stop altogether or should I follow my doctor's advice and wait and see. Also, is there anything I can take for the itching?

Get Benedryl for the itch, and stop the med. Itching like that is an indication of medication allergy. Use some other form of cessation aid.
