We have been recommended that the daily allowance of salt is 6g and should not exceed. With help from the details on packaging from supermarkets we have been trying to achieve this. We have found it impossible to have breakfast dinner and lunch without exceeding the limit - any suggestions!!!!

Please help: a lot of nights I sleep so heavily that I sleep through my alarms in the morning and I oversleep. It doesn't seem to depend on how much sleep I get or what quality it is, and the problem isn't that my alarms aren't loud enough. I have six alarms, but many mornings they just don't wake me up.

What can I do to ensure I wake up on time?

I had a horrible reaction to the antibiotic CIPRO. I was taking 500mg two times daily. I've already contacted my doctor and have stopped taking it, but the side effects are lingering. I had horrible abdominal pain/discomfort along with nausea, vomiting, headache, light headedness, and dizziness. I haven't take the medicine in about 16 hours, but my stomach is still pretty upset. My doctor told me not to take antiacids or drink milk. Any ideas to rid me of this feeling, because I am starving but I feel too sick to eat.

What is a good solution to make it go away? Tea bags are not working... any inexpensive over-the-counter medications?

I tend to do that and it makes me and the other person feel awkward, it's just that I tend to want to know who I am talking to. But it feels like I'm being invasive, and I cannot stop the awkwardness afterward. It's like I can't keep my own thoughts to myself, but project them through eye contact.

Is that a weird description.. anyone feels like this

I have 3 questions about the chemotherapy-related hair changes. These don't apply to me, but unfortunately it seems I know of more and more folks dealing with this. :(

1. It seems I always hear of straight-haired people having CURLY hair after it grows back. But what about people with curly hair to begin with -- does it sometimes come back straight? Even in people of black/African-American ancestry?

2. How does this happen? Our hair texture is determined by the shape of the follicles. I think it's something like round follicles produce straight hair and square follicles produce curly hair. Anyway, does chemo actually change the genetically-determined SHAPE of our follicles?

3. How often does a person's hair NOT change in texture when it grows back? Does anyone have their hair come in exactly the same as before?

(P.S. I'm not asking about color changes. That makes more sense. I'm just confused about texture). Thanks all! :)

I'm a native in southern California (L.A). Over this past weekend it was very, very cold. In fact, the news said it hasn't been this cold since the 1930's.

Anyways, on Saturday morning while I was outside doing errands, my feet were very cold. I was wearing sneakers. It was cold enough that they felt uncomfortable to walk. They felt numb. When I got home, I warmed up my feet and noticed that some of my toes and areas of my foot were very white. After 20 minutes later, they went back to normal. Later that day, I went out with some friends, I wore boots. I should've stayed indoor, because after a while coming from home, I had the same problem. I don't smoke and I don't drink. Also, I haven't been stressed.

Doing research on Raynaud's I hear it's more common for people in the midwest where it's cold, so I wasn't too sure if I had this or not. Also, I don't know what form it is. Hopefully just a temporarily one. I'm not freaked out by this, but it got my attention.

i twisted my ankle last week and its still quite painful. it is quite tender if touched or knocked and hurts when i walk. should i bandage it up to restrict its movement or just leave it alone and take some painkillers? i work as a teaching assistant so my job is quite active, which doesn't help when i'm trying to rest my ankle up!

also, what is the best way to bandage something? does it need to be quite tight or will that just make it worse? any other remedies welcome!
