I just got a tattoo on sunday the day i turned 18 and one of my friends has been arguing with me over this...He thinks diabetics can't get tattoos.I laughed when he said it because I have asked my doctor and the tattoo artists and they said it is ok to get one. I got mine a few days ago and my blood sugar has been no higher than 150 which is awesome because the doctors want me between 80 and 160. Are there any diabetics with tattoos on here?I would like to know how recently you got yours and how big and where you have it placed on you. I am not worried about mine at all i just want to know if any of you have them too so i can prove to my friend that we can get them too.thank you so much in advance!!

Does anybody know if there is a country or countries who are far more advanced with treatments for c.l.l. Chronic lymphoctye leukemia than the u.k. whenever I ask the above question I feel as if I am not being told the answers because it is being treated by the n.h.s. and they have limited funds and people are being denied treatment because of cost I am not saying there is a miracle cure but if there is a country that has a drug and it is expensive one should be given the oppotunity to purchase them if such a drug is available and told if there are such drugs.

I know the worse thing you can do is give yourself a self-diagnosis. But for the last few months I have been feeling very ill. Extreme fatigue, nausea, weakness, dizziness, headaches/jaw clenching, sore wrists, hands, knees and ankles...i saw a Dr. a few months ago and he told me I was depressed...i've been depressed before and was able to recognize it. I am not depressed. I WANT to work, go out, be with friends but i spend 90% of my free time sleeping. It's not normal.

I have never felt this way in my life. I'm hoping it's not HIV related. My specific question is this. When i look up early HIV symptoms, I have MOST of them, do they all come together? I don't have fever and i haven't lost weight.

I have an HIV test scheduled soon, along with a full physical (with a new Dr) but I can't help but stress as i am gay and sexually active, HIV is always in the back of my mind.

I'm an 18 year old male who is 5"4 and weighs 135 lbs. My parents are relatively average for their genders dad 5"10 mom 5"6...why am I not growing?! I eat healthy work out alot,should I be worried?I could understand if short stature was common in my family then it would be pretty explainable but everyone is average height.Will i still grow...please! I'm on the Pill and am using it correctly. My period was supposed to start today but hasn't yet. My period is like clock work. I even know what time of day I'm gonna start. But nothing's happened and I'm not even cramping. I'm getting married in two weeks so I'm VERY stressed with last minute wedding details and also stressed about my job. Can stress cause a late period or cause it to skip altogether? Thanks.

every so often while i am sleeping i jerk awake.

when i say jerk awake i mean really jerk. from a dead sleep i will snap up, mostly my head, like im startled. i will go from being sound asleep to completely awake. this happens like a reflex, my body doesnt come up much, its not like im getting up, my head snaps and turns like someone has come up and grabbed my shoulder and startled me. this happens so suddenly that i get whiplash from it. theres also a kind of sound inside my head like a "kink", i guess where my brain is getting jolted so hard and also a flash of light inside my head. anyone ever had this happen or have this diagnosed.


every once in a while i will take a quick breath in between breathes while i am awake, again, something i couldnt duplicate if i wanted to, but a reflexive response. dont know if they are related.

The past few days I have been unusually tired, I am not feeling ill but feeling very drained and falling asleep in the middle of the day, even when eating or in between conversations. Recently, I've gotten extremely sick after eating sugary foods like brownies and chocolate. Very nauseous, and now everytime I eat something sweet (not fruit), I get sick to my stomach and regretful. Is this a sign of anything? Can you all of a sudden become intolerant of sugar? I'm fairly healthy, only 20 lbs overweight, but don't exercise and 26 y.o.
